“It is unconscionable that — with the escalation of gun violence in our nation –there has been no real progress on the federal level,” said Rabbi Wernick. “It is time to force the hand of Congress to confront the National Rifle Association and their supporters. The massacre in Newtown, CT wounded the very soul of America. I am touched as a parent as well as a rabbi. The time has come to act.”

What on G-d's Earth does that MEAN Rabbi!?

That the NRA shot those kids? That they are responsible?

It is your idiotic enabling that has brought us to this deplorable situation!

USCJ is not hardly any better than reform atheists. They lean much farther left than Orthodox and their numbers are dwindling as many go over to reform which is much easier in its nonadherance to REAL Judaism.
Their ‘movement’ is mostly coopting Jewish children and training them from childhood, brainwashing them into a belief system that has no real belief...but changes as the wind blows.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conservative_Judaism

Another schism in the Conservative ranks, this time from the movement’s right wing, would come when a number of the traditionalist Rabbis led by JTS Talmudics professor David Weiss Halivni split from the United Synagogue to form the Union for Traditional Judaism. The dissenters were discontented with the general LEFTWARD trend in USCJ policies over the previous decades, such as “prayer book revision, egalitarianism, redefining halakhic boundaries of sexual relationships, and advocacy of Israel accepting conversions that are non-halakhic even by Conservative standards”., and the Union suggests that “The Conservative Movement thus appears to endorse the notion that changing societal norms can supersede the proper application of halakhic sources”. The Union today describes itself as “trans-denominational” and maintains a Rabbinical seminary, the Institute of Traditional Judaism.

Does anyone else here see the irony of Jews demonstrating for firearms confiscation? Did none of these “youth” ever talk with their grandparents and great-grandparents?

Rabbi Wernick is the kind of Jewish leader who would have been perfect in Nazi Germany, telling the people (like many rabbis did), that since they were good Germans, nobody was going to hurt them.

I’d like this bastard to look me in the face and tell me that this kind of advise is sane, and then I’ll tell him that my whole European family was shot, gassed or otherwise executed in Lemberg, Belzec and Auschwitz.

We have a word for people like Wernick, besides Putz. It is KAPO.

Unarmed Jews have been killed all over America by knives and guns and rifles and bombs. Armed Jews have not. Rabbi Meir Kahane, an acquaintance of mine, was stabbed to death by an Al Qaeda operative. A woman in a Jewish organization in Seattle was shot to death as was a Jewish worker at LAX.

Violence against Jews in America went down when the Jewish Defense League was formed by Kahane. Black attacks on Jews in New York City slowed a lot. I wonder why.

There are some of us Jewish Americans who are not stupid. We know who the enemy is and are determined to stop them dead, if necessary, and are prepared to do so. There are a lot of Jewish veterans of Vietnam, Gulf War I and OIF/Afghanistan who are not standing by unarmed and with our heads buried in the sand. That includes members of my family and our Vietnam veterans groups.

Wernick is symptomatic of the cowardice that is liberalism and it has badly infected our synagogues to the point that there is a major split in opinion out there on guns, Obama, national defense, etc.

In the end, the innocent pay the price for unpreparedness.

I once asked my father-in-law where he was on Dec. 7, 1941, and he said ‘getting bombed at Schofield Barracks’. We were unprepared and thousands died needlessly.

NEVER AGAIN!

It is the same “idiotic enabling” that brought his “tribe” to the ghettos and then the concentration camps....
