I expect to see a high capacity ban in effect by the end of Jan. at the latest. Just the expectation of this ban is having a huge impact in my neck of the woods. Similar to a bank run, our area is having a high capacity mag run (and ammo as well). You cannot find a 20 or 30 round mag in .22, .223, any of the 7.62s, or .308. Same for all pistol mags. The main problem with this is that if you dont already have your mags, you probably won't be able to get them. They know that the ban is coming and they aren't going to invest millions in producing new mags that will soon be illegal. I don't know if others are seeing this in other parts of the country, but I would assume they are. My advice is: beg, borrow or steal, but get those mags ASAP. The window is almost closed.

I ordered a bunch of mags a while back and currently have more on back order. Will probably order some more and hope they come in.

Same with AR’s. There are three AR firms where I live (Rock River Arms, Armalite, and Lewis tool). They shut down for the year, and don’t appear to be in a hurry to start up. Another one, Les Bear, is worried that they will be out of business soon.

This is real. This isn’t a pr exercise. I do not understand those who claim a ban can not happen.

You could be right. But I don’t think so. I think the legislation will not pass. My take is that Boehner has been treated like crap by Obozo and the Obozo media, and will just see that no AWB at all is brought to the floor, just to spite them.

The fiscal cliff thing may ensure that this isn’t even a major topic come Jan 2. If parts of the govt. are not funded, and everyone’s taxes have gone up Joe Sixpack is not going to be available to be led around by the nose to demand AWBs.

In other words, they have overplayed their hand and aren’t gonna get their dream.
