Of course Gregory is above the law.

1) He's a lib. 2) He's a member of Pravda USA.

"But the D.C. Police Department apparently has nothing better to do than examine whether he violated the city’s gun laws," Kurtz scoffed in his column at the Daily Download.

That is a decidedly racist statement, Mr. Kurtz. Gregory is white, and the vast majority of work the Metropolitan Police have to do involves African Americans.

Tsk, tsk.

If I went into Washington DC with a pick up truck load of high cap magazines and started handing them out to anyone claiming to be a journalist, I'm sure the DC Police would be OK with that. I'd be an investigative journalist trying to determine the effect of high capacity magazine possession on other journalists.

Sure, technically I broke the law, but I didn't intend to commit a crime.

"But I don’t think Gregory was planning to commit any crimes," argues Kurtz.

Neither are all the legal gun owners.

David 'I Speak French' Gregory should be arrested by the D.C. PD and charged with Three Counts:
  1. Possession of an illegal high capacity firearm magazine.
  2. Transportation of an illegal firearm magazine into the District of Columbia.
  3. Disorderly Conduct: Being pompous and sanctimonious on National TV
  4. Speaking French in public thereby creating a Public Nuisance.
(Legal def: is offensive to the senses)
Oops, make that Four Counts.

I like Howie but he’s a mensch, and sometimes a bit of a schlemiel. Absolutely Gregory should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I thought that was the purpose of the D.C. law. If it is not going to be inforced, what is the point of the law. Or, are we goverend by men, not laws?

Now imagine for a minute if Rush Limbaugh had done exactly what Mr. Gregory did. Are the police still wrong?

Why hasn’t the DC SWAT team stormed the studios?
