That’s all true- but it’s very very disheartening watchign htis once great nation be torn down by someoen so Anti-Christian- and it’s sad for all thsoe who gave their lives in an effort to try to preserve our constitutional freedoms only to have one anti-American president tear it all down in 4 short years- especially when he gets no opposition from the right in government-

you’re right, God is in control, but in the meantime- we and our children WILL have to suffer the consequences of the actions of our ‘leader’ who’s wish is to attack the church, attack God, attack God’s children, and throw God compeltely out of public life and view-

When you say "Birth Control" what do you mean?

Abortion, even the oops, you almost made-it "Partial birth abortion" is "Birth Control" to the Democrats. "Planned Parenthood" is one of the official purveyors thereof.

Surely, with all the pickles and bananas wearing free raincoats in classrooms over the years, you didn't think Obamacare was promoting abstinence or the rhythm method--or simply handing out free condoms?

So, how about Exodus 20:13 "Thou shalt not Murder."?

That's numero uno.

However, as a Catholic, don't expect me to go quoting the King James version finding something about condoms, the pill, implants or IUD's--not that it would be in there, anyway.

I don't have to convince you to believe that the Pope is the Spiritual descendant of Peter, and that if he says no pill, no implants, no IUDs, no abortion, we Catholics are supposed to go along with that.

It isn't what YOU believe, it is what I believe.

"...nor interfere with the free exercise thereof."

So you may believe what you will, but what I believe--which is well within the doctrine of MY religion--is what Obamacare interferes with--not only am I not supposed to practice it, but Obamacare wants me to fund it. (Not happening.)

I could rhetorically ask you to show me where the Bible says it is okay to cause a woman to miscarry (RU-486 does just that), because that is just one of the murderous means of "contraception" the Dems are not talking openly about, while pretending they are talking about condoms, but that isn't in there per se, even though Exodus 20:13 covers it.

If you mean the Morning After pill, there is no proof the woman is pregnant. Same with birth control pills, IUD’s, etc. Maybe we should call them Pregnancy Control.

Abortion kills an unborn child every time. I don’t lump it with the others.

Protestants have no rules against birth control devices and pills.

Exactly...the Marxist progressives have been at this since the late 1800’s.

I’m done with talking to them. Call me when the shooting starts and where to sign up.

As long as sports, American Idle, Housewives of XXX, Toddles and Tiara, Honey Boo Boo, all “reality” shows, comics like the Russell Brand types and other mind-numbing swill is on tv the population is right where the powers to be want them.

The para-military Ohaha admin's chief interest in “health care” is enforcement----killing babies, controlling population, and promoting perverted sex at taxpayer expense.

BACKSTORY In February 2004, US Senate candidate Barack Obama's wife, Michelle, sent a fund- raising letter with the "alarming news" that "right-wing politicians" had passed a law stopping doctors from performing p/b abortions (stabbing half-born babies in the neck with scissors, suctioning out their brains and crushing their skulls).

Michelle Obama considers partial-birth abortion "a legitimate medical procedure," and asked supporters for $150 to attend a luncheon for her candidate husband, b/c he would fight against "cynical ploys" to stop p/b sbortions.

(NOTE: nurses at an Illinois hospital in 1999 discovered babies were being aborted alive and placed on shelves in soiled utility rooms to die unattended.)

BACKGROUND Legislation was presented on the federal level and in various states called the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. It stated all live-born babies were guaranteed the same constitutional right to equal protection, whether or not they were wanted.

BAIPA sailed through the U.S. Senate by unanimous vote. Even Sens. Clinton, Kennedy and Kerry agreed a mother's right to "choose" stopped at her baby's delivery. The bill also passed overwhelmingly in the US House.

NARAL went neutral on it. Abortion enthusiasts publicly agreed that fighting BAIPA would appear extreme. President Bush signed BAIPA into law in 2002.

But in Illinois, the state version of BAIPA repeatedly failed, thanks in large part to then-state Sen. Barack Obama. It only passed in 2005, after Obama left. Obama articulately asserted that legislation protecting live aborted babies might infringe on women's rights or abortionists' rights.

In 2003, as chairman of the next state Senate committee to which BAIPA was sent, Obama stopped it from even getting a hearing, shelving it to die much like babies were still being shelved to die in Illinois hospitals and abortion chambers.

(NOTE As chair of that same committee, state Sen Obama once abruptly ended a hearing early, right before the parents of six children killed as a result of Illinois' drivers licenses-for-bribes scandal, were to testify in favor of Choose Life license plate legislation. Obama stalled. He later killed the bill when no one was around.)

Ohaha is going to have to install the Mexican Army in the WH to organize camo-clad street patrols wearing shoulder holsters to suppress “the resistance.”

Hobby Lobby’s owners, the David Green Family, must pay the ObamaCare fine of $1.3 Million PER DAY beginning January 1, 2013 if they refuse to provide the Morning After Pill (Plan B in the U.S.) and The Abortion Pill

Yes. I would add that Obama’s famous black power “church” in Chicago owned, as a subsidiary, a “hospital” in the city which practiced late term abortions. One of the nurses working there revolted against their practices and exposed them, including the habit of throwing born-alive babies out the window onto the roof to die. Or, alternatively, into the trash.

I haven’t seen it proven that Obama knew about this beforehand, but if he had, he certainly would have approved. And I haven’t heard that it changed his fondness for killing live babies after the news came out. Probably it was an additional reason why Obama voted three times against the infants born alive protection act as a state senator.

I just want you to know you are not alone. I find a great deal of comfort reading the Bible, esp the Old Testament.

It is heartbreaking, what is happening, yes. This is really, really hard. Yes.

We can do it.

let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering;
for he who promised is faithful

In the face of stuff like that (and worse), it’s a wonder that people think that the USA will be spared any destruction in the tribulation to come.

One of the first things that Hitler did was to go after the Church publications and shut them down in 1933. He went after those who showed any voice of opposition, some even disappearing(including others in society). Then it was off to the races in terms of going after the other groups. Granted it wasn’t a tremendous amount of opposition from the church or its supporters. The reality is that after decades of welfare that go back to the 1800’s and the damage that was inflicted from the hyper-inflationary period after WWI where any semblance of values and morals where thrown off like shackles on a newly freed prisoner. We already resemble a great deal of pre-Nazi Germany not to mention a totalitarian infection within our own government where the symptoms are becoming harder to ignore.

Protestants have no rules against birth control devices and pills.

BTW, the purpose of the IUD is to prevent the fertilized egg from implanting on the uterine wall, effectively denying the developing fetus the nutrition to continue.

RU-486 is taken to cause any implanted embryo to be dumped--essentially a very early 1st trimester abortion. Perhaps the person taking it isn't sure they are pregnant, but the intent is to terminate any pregnancy which may be present.

If we are so fond of saying "Life begins at conception." I suppose the only quandry is when conception occurs.

In my belief, that is the moment the egg is fertilized and becomes an embryo.

Interfering with the natural course of events from there is not in keeping with Catholic Doctrine.

Catholics are not against all birth control, just that which kills an embryo which otherwise would have continued to develop.

FRiend, now we are touching on the gist of religious freedom. Believe as you will, but do not force me to act against MY beliefs.

I am not seeking to impose my beliefs on you, only to explain them. Kindly do not force, nor support forcing your beliefs on me. This is between me and The Creator, and you cannot force me to act against that. The First Amendment was penned to guarantee me that Right. So either stand for the Right or not, but If I do not have that Right to worship as I choose, free from the State imposing upon me for not acting contrary to MY beliefs, you don't have that Right either, whatever you believe.

We are all in this together, whether we hold the same beliefs or not.

But birth control pills/devices are not a Christian issue because they have nothing to do with Christianity. If Obama makes a company cover birth control pills, it’s not a Christian issue. It has nothing to do with whether a person accepts Christ as their Savior. It’s more of a Catholic issue.

I suppose you are going to assert Catholics aren't Christians, now? Give me a break.

It isn't even a question of Christianity.

If you allow the will of the State to be imposed over the beliefs of a mainstream religion, then who is next? The precedent will have been established, and the First Amendment rendered void.

If the Obamacare mandates demanded Jews eat pork or shellfish, it would not be a "Christian" issue, either, but a definite threat to the First Amendment.

Note, "Women's Reproductive Health" is included, too--and those are common buzzwords for abortion on demand.

It still boils down to the State being in definite conflict with widely held mainstream religious beliefs, and demanding that persons purchase services which conflict with their religious beliefs or suffer a penalty, whatever Roberts called it.

That interferes with "...the free exercise thereof."

Either we all have the Right, or none of us do, because if it can be taken from some of us, it is only a matter of time before it is taken from all.

I’m going to assert that Catholics aren’t the only Christians. Read the title.

Never assume what someone is thinking. Ask.

Fair enough. My apologies.

As a significant subset of Christians, and one which has conspicuously remained steadfast against abortion and homosexual 'marriage', I'd say the Catholic Church is squarely in the sights of the Leftists, their Media, and Obama alike.

It is not the only group in that position, and any Christian sect which has resisted on those fronts will be subject to the enmity of the Obamites, and their demand to force us to do their will.

In matters of Faith, I cannot submit, I shall not, nor would I want other Christians to do so.
