Sorry, but if Romney won (as bad as he might have been) things would be looking up right now.

Bullcrap. Romney would be trying to institute an 'assault weapons' ban just like he did when he was governor.

I won't ever vote for an anti-gun liberal. That's what Romney is.

He is pushing it to civil war because he is a convict who wants to oppress others of his convictedness in order to avoid paying for anything including the crime.

Lincoln suspected the South was not an independent competitor but liable to be overtaken by forces settling the West in order to leverage it into a way of oppressing later on the North, and slavery was a sticky point which made the South look more likely to do so.

As to whether Lincoln was freeing the North from the South or imposing the Union of the less free is still up for contention.

What is interesting is that Obama is all TOO WILLING to pay the price of being “bad” to even worse oppressors and terrorists abroad, so to speak, in his hypocrisy - because terror is terror.

Obama is no Lincoln. If he were, he would have long gone upped the nuclear weaponizing or obsolescence through SDI development instead of talking disarmament.

Truth of the matter, the state is playing with Obama with perceptions.

It is not a question about giving up guns or not, it is a question about whether it is time to charge the state and put it back where it belongs, in its incarcerated constraints while letting the self regulating militia carry on. Otherwise it is going to be chaos. The state is not there to insure our safety but to carry certain mandates.

This is a question of freeing the army from the state’s oppressive exploitative clutches, of freeing Americans by having them prosecute Obama and state collaborators.

The 2nd Amendment was just that: a sensitive measure to make it more manageable to secure a balance of power at best, or even a way to put in jail the corrupt perps in power who insist on the decadence of the death tax to take the guns away as heirlooms.

It is not about my guns, it is about the guns, and they cannot have them, period.

Good! Let's get this particular crisis over with.

I remember. The 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus radical, psycho spoiled brats were celebrated in the establishment MSM as the most intelligent generation ever!. They are now arguably that very establishment that praised them and they hold themselves and their ideological issue in even higher regard.

Abe explains what that means.

If you could first know where you are and whither you are tending, you could better judge what to do and how to do it. You initiated a policy to tolerate the Marxist-Alinsky radicals and let them rant; not only has it not ceased but was constantly augmented by decades of infiltration and indoctrination. You now have two Americas. In my opinion, it will not cease until a crisis shall have been reached and passed. A house divided against itself cannot stand. I believe this government cannot endure, permanently, half statist and half free; I do not expect the house to fall; but I do expect it will cease to be divided. It will become all one thing, or all the other.

The question today is either the opponents of statism will arrest the further spread of it and place it on course of ultimate extinction, or its advocates will push it forward till it shall become permanent.

Have you no tendency to the latter condition?

Let anyone who doubts carefully contemplate that now almost complete legal combination — piece of machinery, so to speak — compounded of the Republican Party hands-across-the-aisle doctrine and the dreadful actions among statism's chief architects.

The progressives' New Normal ruling elite ordain that inalienable rights are religion-connected and therefore unacceptable and unconstitutional.. only "human rights" granted to the masses by the New Normal ruling elite are legal.

All rise..

I understand just fine, thank you.

Your one vote, if you had been the only person in America to either not vote or vote for an alternate party, would not matter. This is true.

However, the 6 or 7 million individual nonvotes or alternate votes mattered very much. This could have won a Senate majority for the Republicans, and it could have resulted in many states having results close enough to require every vote counted and verified.

It did matter for the country, even if in your very individual situation, it didn’t.

If the DemoQuacks push gun control legislation I predict a second tea party wave which will result in a Republican-controlled Senate and more House gains in the next mid-term election.

As a conservative independent, I don’t control the crap candidates put forth by your party. I have one vote to use. The 6-7 million votes that didn’t show up are 6-7 million individual decisions That either yawned or were repulsed by your candidates. If the national RINOpublican Party wants their votes, they have to earn them - not demand them. They will earn them by running good candidates, not mouthing platitudes to appear like good candidates.

Your party has screwed themselves royally through your foolish choices. Even worse, they can’t even stand up to Obama. Even worse, they have actively participated in the looting of America.

If we are smart we will delay, hamper, reschedule and escalate this debate long enough to ride it to victory in 2014.

Yeah, why are the Republicans going along with these Continuing Resolutions for the last three years?

to make sure that something like what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary does not happen again

That statement probably just made some sicko decide to prove him wrong. Sure, taunt them and someone will take him up on it. Imagine the headlines. Woohoo! Even more publicity than Beslan, Virginia Tech, UT Tower, Sandy Hook and Columbine put together. The next freak will plan something to go out in an even bigger blaze of glory.

“BS! He’s more interested in making sure something like Lexington and Concord don’t happen again.”

If the colonists had not been in possession of “military grade” weapons, close to or the equal of those in the hands of the British soldiers, we might still be subjects of the Queen this day...

Good afternoon. Sorry for the thread hijack...

I'm getting old. Most of my military training is still with me, but I preform on a much lower level.

I lost all of my weapons in a boating accident in the Gulf. It was tragic. The only thing I was able to save was my Buck knife.

I will be able to secure a weapon and ammo. If not on the underground market, then my Buck knife will have to do.

Doesn't all that sound crazy?

The sad truth of the matter is that my country scares me. Everything is out of whack. Shouldn't my country do everything possible to protect my rights?

I pray to the Lord that we are able to heal our divisions. War is such a terrible thing.

“If we are smart we will delay, hamper, reschedule and escalate this debate long enough to ride it to victory in 2014.”

Heh.

The Republicans will be lucky to hold the House by 2014.

Gun control will be a burning issue in 2013, and right now I’d put the odds at least 50/50 that some kind of gun bill will pass in the coming year. The ONLY “point of Republican resistance” to the oncoming legislative onslaught will be the House. Republican senators will either fold like wrapping paper on this one, or be totally marginalized out of the process (remember that Harry Reid says the filibuster is going away in 2013 — a vote of 51 will be all that’s needed).

Assuming that gun control fails next year, expect the ‘rats to go back to hammering the Pubbies on “the economy” and tax breaks for the wealthy right up until the 2014 elections. Things probably won’t improve between now and then and even then the poor economy will be blamed on Republican “obstruction”. There’s a very good chance that the left will break the mold on the midterm elections (where, the party of the president normally loses votes), just as Obama himself broke that mode and won re-election (after presiding over a disastrous economy for four years).

I’ll go on record today predicting that the ‘rats will gain seats in the House in 2014, and may gain just enough to eke out a majority.

If that happens, expect the boom to drop on gun control in 2015.

I won’t like it any more than you do.
But I’m a realist, and that’s how I see it...

Where are those that here campaigned daily against Romney?

You all still think it was better to not vote and stay home that Romney was no better? Millions of conservatives stayed home on election day. Now look what we have.
