No. It looks like the goal was to make him appear to be on the outside, frustrated by Congress's inability to come to an agreement. "I may have to be here for New Year's."
It was hard not to kick in the TV.
But he is a polished liar. The best I've ever seen.
Unfortunately, yes. From his remarks and the media leaks, it looks like the deal contains no reductions in entitlements, more spending and some increases in taxes. Yet, he said that any future discussions about reductions in spending would not be considered unless there were more tax increases. (My reading of his remarks).
