PHOENIX -- Alicia and Randy Atkins knew their baby girl would be photogenic before she was even born.
Randy captured an amazing shot of this soon-to-be-born daughter, Nevaeh, poking her tiny hand out of her mother's womb and tightly grasping the finger of the doctor helping to bring her into the world.
The doctor called me over and said, Hey, she's grabbing my finger. So I ran over there and just grabbed the shot and I was just in awe looking at it. It was such an amazing picture, Randy told 3TV's Jason Voluntine, adding that he was nervous about missing the precious and fleeting moment as he hurried to snap a picture.
Unsure how people might react, the couple posted their very special photo on Facebook the day after Christmas, nearly three months after Nevaeh was born.
"Truly amazing. I am in awe of this photo," Alicia wrote on the page.
She's not alone. With more than 1,200 likes (as of this posting) and 270 shares, the photo is a Facebook hit.
We didn't think we were going to get such positive feedback," Alicia told Voluntine. "We thought we would get more negative that's disgusting
. [Instead] everybody just thought it was the best thing in the world."

Great picture, great story.
But Obama says it’s ‘above his pay grade’ to decide whether or not she is a person.
This is great! Reminds me of the first one I saw a few years ago that’s in bright colors - I believe it was in a hospital in Atlanta. I’ll look for it tonight and re-post it.
Just the evil wickedness of those like Obama who think this precious child a moment before or even after should be snuffed out ‘because of the intention of the “mother”’
“It’s ok, the surgery can wait.. You wanna snap a picture of this before I finish bringing your child into the world?”
it was absolutely worth it, as it is a testament to the very thing that the pro-aborts will never admit, that it’s a live baby human in there.
I remember that pic. They were doing in utero surgery on the baby - I believe related to spina bifida - and the baby gripped the doc’s finger. Way cool.
I haven’t had enough coffee this morning...I read it as saying *gay parade*. Need more coffee.
