Conservatives/no one can keep this from happening as the US can't recover. It doesn't matter who is President, however, it would be good not to have Hussein, the communist, as the President when it happens but it may happen during his present reign.
I think one has to consider the above paragraph in these discussions, as a collapse changes reality. The status quo isn't going to remain the status quo.
