The familys ordeal began when they reached the hotels parking garage, which is shared with a Federal Emergency Management Agency building. A security guard at the parking garage entrance asked if Duncan had any weapons. Duncan said he carried two Smith and Wesson pistols under his seat.

Contrast the treatment of an East Tennessee Minister who freely admitted he had legally registered handguns in his car, with respect to David Gregory who, waved an illegal 30 capacity magazine on a national TV show. How is it the police can treat one person harshly, and ignore the lawbreaking of another? Please explain the legal process that the police are following.
To: The_Media_never_lie
I would think the minister would be able to sue for civil rights violations.

Gregory is a member of the ruling class and the minister is a member of the servant class. Nothing to see here, move on...

Simple. The law is what the ruling elite say it is when they say it. All laws are situational and only understood by our betters.

Supposedly they cannot but then, under Odumbo, they can do anything they want.remember when they said, “We Won”?

It seems to me the East Tennessee minister was shown no mercy at all. David Gregory was not even arrested and charged.

and apparently there is no justice in America anymore. Bad is good and good is bad. Just like scripture said it would be. It also says woe to those who call evil good and good evil

The first rule of tyranny is to make everything illegal, and then selectively enforce the laws against your enemies. As a Christian and a gun owner, this preacher is an obvious enemy statists.

Thanks for the fine post.
His problems are not yet over. Duncan wants the case expunged from his record and his guns returned. The Judge has stated the guns will be forfeited to the District of Columbia. Gardiner is working on that.
DC is the seat of insanity and lawlessness in the US. God help the United State of America and his followers.

I wonder if anyone could make a citizen’s arrest of Gregory.

I think you are on to something.
I used to walk through the city at night, CCWing just in case I was attacked by a mob. Just several blocks away from where I was walking, a mob had previously lynched an 18 year old jogger, sending him severely injured to the hospital for a lengthy recovery.
I did not realize it, but when walking across a college campus on a city street, I may have committed a felony by legally CCWing on a college campus. Of course, no one knew I was CCWing, but who is to say that the police could not have charged me with a crime using their obviously (see above post) very powerful discretionary powers?

Agreed. Wrong answer! However, should a minister lie to protect himself? If he tells one lie, why not another convenient lie. Ethical dilemma......

"Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security." - DOI, 1776

I never, EVER, go to a Deep Blue Cesspool like DC. I do no business with any of them. I urge my friends and business associates to do the same.

Always be wary of police, especially in Leftist jurisdictions. It would be a likely assumption that a cop in a Lefty municipality is a union member and supports zero and the Dems. Some, if not the majority of theses types are of the mentality to follow orders no matter what. A few of them are even sadistic bullies.
Never volunteer information and assume that the cop is your friend.

Duncan said he carried two Smith and Wesson pistols under his seat. Wrong answer! Agreed. There are Biblical examples of it being morally correct to lie to evil people: Rahab, David, etc.
I have told my kids: if a cop asks you if you have guns in the car, the correct answer is NO, no matter what.
