RUSH: President Obama today is taking action that a majority of Americans disagree with. He's going down a road a majority of people disagree with. He knows it. The question is, why? Why is Barack Obama literally trying to push people to snap? Why is he doing this? It's as though in some way he's attacking the very sanity of people in this country. Why is he doing this? Why is he deliberately making people so upset? What is driving him? Anybody got any ideas?
I've been watching the children-as-human-shields show that is now going on at the White House. Boy, these guys are somber. Biden was very somber. You would have thought that eulogies... (imitating Biden) "I've worked with this guy 27 hours a day, President Barack Obama." (clapping) Yeah! Kids cheer and the president starts out reading some letters from the kids. Gotta do what the kids want. Gotta answer all their letters to Santa Claus. Gotta do everything they want. It's stunning. You look at the what's happening in the country.

1)Keep the pressure on until the opponent eventually becomes to weak to fight back.
If that doesn't work......
2) Incite your opponent to anger, and then use their angry response as a weapon against them.
I think that he wants to keep pushing until someone or some group snaps enough to give him a reason to declare martial law.

The left’s ultimate wet dream is to justifiably use deadly force against their political opponents.
How can someone who wants to "save the children" drive up the DEBT to levels they'll be paying for, for the rest of their lives?

All he's ever been is a community AGITATOR. Eventually, the opponent surrenders, or decides to fight back. Once the opponent fights back, you get to play the victim of his "uncontrollable" or "senceless" anger.
The homosexuals got where they are today by discusting and agitating people (deliberately getting themselves beat up) , and then they played on peoples hearts by claiming to be abused victims who needed special protections from all those bullies. It was they who agitated, but the real victims of their attacks, the straight guys they keep pushing to the limit, got blamed for it.
For what it's worth, Agenda 21 requires that ALL items, including cars, animals, people, FIREARMS, etc., be INVENTORIED SO THAT THEY CAN BE CONTROLLED AND/OR CONFISCATED!!

Every single Marxist despot coming to power and consolidating power always NEEDS to create a climate of chaos and bloodshed in order to get the masses to accept draconian tyranny and applaud the rounding up of those the Regime blames for all the misery for their extermination.
And make no mistake - the lessons of history are screaming at us.
That is EXACTLY where Obama and the MarxoFascists are taking us.
They hate us as much as the Jihadists do. Make no mistake about that either.
This provocation works whether the people do nothing and knuckle under it, and it works if they resist it, because we have waited too long to rectify the tyranny this people are not only comfortable with - but prefer.

That, at least, is very clear, so clear that I suspect Rush of asking a rhetorical question. He's testing the envelope. He's trying to find out what the proggies can get away with, not just with respect to firearms but with respect to the Constitution. How much authoritarianism is going to be acceptable, and on which topics? If you're planning a quiet revolution you have to know this stuff.
My sense - and mind you, I'm in a conservative echo chamber every bit as seductive as that liberal echo chamber which is the NY-DC axis - my sense is that the blowback was astonishing.

With all due respect, this Bitter Clinger (as well as his large, extended family) plans to go out shooting if it comes to that.
I kinda think he *planned* to do more, but upon seeing the reaction of the American people, he may have thought better of it & backed off.

Most unfortunately, INVAR, the first lesson history teaches is that very few people ever learn the obvious lessons of history. If we're at all wise, we'll at least learn those you've pointed out in your post.

That's very well said! I certainly don't mean to excuse the jihadis in any way, shape, or form, but must say their hatred is understandable to a certain degree: they're poorly educated lifelong followers of a deeply entrenched anti-religion that commands loyalty from a billion naive people.
The at least equally hateful and most probably still more hateful self-styled "progressives" have neither reason to hate us nor anything even remotely like an excuse. We've never done anything to harm them. We've never held ourselves above them. The vast majority of us are neither more nor less wealthy than the vast majority of them. We've never announced we plan to reduce them to state serfdom. We're ordinary American citizens, yet they regard us as mortal enemies to be vanquished and enslaved.
I've tried and tried to make sense of their hatred; most unfortunately, it continues to elude me.

I fear you've hit the nail squarely on the head. All at once, I doubt enslavement will be enough for the "progressives." I fear only literally murdering millions of us will satisfy their insane blood lust.
