In press conferences that have been held since 12/14, the Connecticut State Police have identified all of the weapons seized from the crime scene at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

"To eliminate any confusion or misinformation, we will again describe and identify the weapons seized at the school crime scene," Connecticut State Police Spokesman Lt J. Paul Vance said Friday, January 18, via a press release.

Seized inside the school were the following: a Bushmaster .223 caliber-- model XM15-E2S rifle with high capacity 30 round clips; a Glock 10 mm handgun; and a Sig-Sauer P226 9mm handgun.

Seized from the suspect’s car in parking lot was a Izhmash Canta-12 12 gauge Shotgun.

The case remains under investigation.

good point. I have not looked deeper, but isn't her ex husband a government dude in some way? Most likely it was his and she got it in the divorce? It's just such an odd caliber for a woman to have, unless she was GI Jane.

From the other thread...

“But there was another man in the woods (maybe): Eyewitnesses saw a second man in the woods wearing camouflage pants and a dark jacket, and said that he may have been armed. Must be a second shooter.

Answer: Actually, he was, according to the Newtown Bee, “an off-duty tactical squad police officer from another town” who heard the gunfire.”

OK, so who is this person? Name, rank, serial number?

What town is he from?

Where is their car? Did they run all the way from the other town?

Why are they running AWAY from other officers?

If this was a first, first responder and there before the Newtown police arrived why did he not call in his actions? He goes into an active shooter scene in cowboy mode? Sounds very out of protocol. Oh yeah, he did not have car (or a cell phone or police radio) so he could not call in.

And he was fast - there at 9:38 when police start chasing 2 shadows along the gym side. Those 2 shadows go into the woods and split while police are chasing them. So he and Chris Manfredonia were an interesting pair.

Come on! This little tid-bit in the Newtown Bee is a a plant just for what is is being used for - a pitiful attempt to explain what is now in the records of records police radio transmissions and helicopter footage and eye witness interviews.

No one is buying it. A father runs away from danger when the gun fire breaks out? There is a an armed police officer who is on the scene before the Newtown police who has never announced himself to anyone but goes inside the perimeter of an actual active shooter situation? Really? I mean REALLY?

Don't you think the police have all of that and checked him out before releasing this incident to the press???

Why are they running AWAY from other officers?

The officer in the woods was not running away.

The man at the school whose name is apparently Manfredonia was a parent of a child in the school whose story checked out as well. This incident took place within 3 minutes of the 911 call while there was still shooting going on in the school and he may have thought that the men with guns chasing him were those shooters.

The modern (Browning) BAR is semiautomatic and uses a 3 or 4 round clip depending on caliber of the rifle. A plate on the bottom of the receiver swings down’ the clip mounted then the plate swings closed to complete loading. So, here's a real rifle clip example and I am sure there are other examples. It is a faster reload than inserting individual shells such as most bolt, pump, lever and semiautomatic rifles use but you do need a big pocket full of clips to have many reloads ready to go.

and btw those 2 shadows that were reported as going past the windows were more than likely the police officers chasing Manfredonia.

Again this AM, on ABC Sunday with George S., Cokie Roberts AGAIN stated that ‘6 year olds were RIDDLED with bullets at Sandy Hook’.

I am beyond tired of this deliberate mis-information being bandied about & also tired that the GOA and the NRA haven’t held a joint conference stating exactly what weapons were used and how many bullets were in those kids.

RIDDLED isn’t the correct answer.

<> that the GOA and the NRA haven’t held a joint conference stating exactly what weapons were used<>

If they had one it would not differ from this press release on Friday:

<>and how many bullets were in those kids.<>

Other than the ME’s press conference on December 15th that there were 3 to 11 bullet wounds all from the long weapon — rifle — in each of the victims in the 7 autopsies that he had done thus far, I’m not sure how much of the rest they will make public.

Cop? What, am I arresting people? All I’m doing is pointing out that the crap people are posting is unfactual. If they are free to speak falsehoods on here, then I am free to speak the truth. There’s nothing authoritarian about that, is there?

“Not your responsibility to censor FR.”

What “censorship” have I been involved in? I don’t have the power to remove any posts, or ban anyone. I’m not a moderator. All I have done is post some inconvenient truths to rain on the conspiracy mongers’ parade. If you don’t like it, too bad, because I don’t intend to stop.

“Have you or “some of us FReepers” been asked by any moderator or the operators of FR to be combative or to censor dissenting opinions or questioners of the Sandy Hook incident on any Free Republic forum?”

Nope.

To: When do we get liberated?
I have come to the conclusion that even the police lack basic knowledge of firearms. Everything seems to be wrong from the beginning and the story changes. That is inherent in a emergency, and I understand that.

The released weapons list the other day, gave no mention of 15 rd mags. I suspect they weren't there[uncommon mag]. If they were, they probably came from the Glock.

Even looking back at the 911 tapes, the initial report was a rifle and shotgun. That was immediate. Within the first 30 minutes. I didn't see any evidence of a shotgun being found until they opened up that trunk, hours later. Odd.

It seems like some anti aircraft guns have clips that feed ammo. You know, kinda like the AA gun Jane Fonda fired at our aircraft in north Viet Nam.

The police searched the vehicle before entering the school and must have found it then. There were two mothers at the front entrance of the school shortly after the police entered the school who saw the doors of the car open and stuff from inside strewn about outside the doors.

That's not true. Only the Saiga [Canta] was found in the car and was removed along with its grey carrying case later that night. Look carefully at the videos -- it's a shotgun and its grey carrying case.

Watched the video numerous times...Looks like two separate guns to me...And then I would wonder why they wouldn't put the gun back into the case for transporting...

I don’t believe that was the trunk of the shooter’s car. They emptied his trunk out during the day. That appears to be a nighttime shot of LEO’s arming themselves from an official SUV.

That may be up for debate but it appears that you don't deny that you can see two separate weapons...

A man with a gun who was spotted in the woods near the school on the day of the incident was an off-duty tactical squad police officer from another town, according to the source.

And if they know that, what exactly was he doing there?

He probably heard the police dispatch and responded to it and then did what a tactical squad officer is trained to do in a situation like this — sit in the woods and keep your eye out for anyone leaving the scene. I believe this is his photo:
