a 10mm glock? they exist (Glock G20) but that is an odd weapon.
Yes, they do exist, and it’s a mighty fine weapon. I’ve had mine for almost two decades now. It’s a fight stopper.
It was standard issue for the FBI, but only briefly. The girls couldn't handle it so they switched to .40 cal.
Used to kill a Bernalillo County, NM Deputy Sheriff stopping a desperate man over a dim license plate light not too long ago.
I own a Glock Model 30. Easy to find ammo at a price, but try to find a holster.
Finally had one built by El Paso Saddlery.
It’s an amazing firearm and platform. And it’s experiencing a renaissance as glock started making the SF versions that could be held by normal sized hands and shooters have caught on to the fact that it’s between a .357mag and a .41mag in energy with 10-15 rounds with felt recoil comparable to the .40S&W because of the heavier slides. From what I’ve heard, glock is shipping a lot of the g29SF and g20SF platforms.
I own a G20 and a G29.
What I find interesting that Adam Lanza's MOTHER would have one. Not many women will buy and shoot a 10mm. Same with the shotgun.
Wonder if she got them from her ex?
Especially unusual for a woman. The FBI discontinued use of the 10mm, mostly, because women agents, and many men, couldn't handle the recoil. Thus was born the .40 S&W, via a downloaded 10mm, which S&W realized could be done as well in a shorter case, with the advantage of allowing a smaller overall pistol.
I agree...
Most women shooters I have known, both experienced and new to the culture, have shot both the .40, and the bug daddy of that one, the 10mm...
Both give a pretty good bark, and keeping them down on target takes a lot of tolerance and practice...
My wife never liked the .40, so when she wanted to shoot something a littl ediffferent than the 9mm, she went and shot my .45, and she loved it!!!
So, in conclusion, it is apparent that the experience helped me discover that we (she) had to get a new aquisition in another Springfield 1911, money well spent a few years ago if you ask me...And the rest is history...
What I meant by my last post, was that since ALL these weapons apparently were the shooters Mom’s...Seems to me she might not have been the one choosing this particular pistol...If she did, she is sounding more and more like someone who really did know her way around a firearm(s)...
