If you look at my posts, you’ll see that I’m not some troll. My bonefides are here.

Seriously — how exactly are you gonna ship ‘em all home? Do you understand that you could put them on a never ending stream of buses to Mexico, and the stream would never stop?

Amnesty, no. But so far I haven’t heard conservative people offer any other solution besides “send them home”. And I’m waiting.

AT the very least, ICE should be reformed so someone from either Mexico or Canada is processed in weeks instead of months, and so that it can be done w/o huge legal expenses.

Stop birthright citizenship. No public benefits of any kind without proof of citizenship. Most would return home.

Maybe you shouldn't be using the usual liberal strawman arguments.

Enforce the law and make life hard for them here and they'll leave.

“how exactly are you gonna ship ‘em all home?”

Simple!!!

Enforce existing law and fine anyone caught hiring one heavily on a first offense and mandatory prison sentence for a second offense including homeowners!!!

Make it illegal for any government to give them any form of aid.

They will self deport and all be gone within a year!!!!

Here has been my view since the topic hit the boiling point in 2005:

1) CLOSE THE BORDERS FIRST!

2) Streamline the process and fees for Legalization and Citizenship starting with those who have already spent years in line.

3) Provide a window of opportunity for the illegals here to come out of the shadows. Give them a 6 month timeframe to acquire a Temporary State ID which will be tagged with the letter I for Illegal Immigrant. If you do not acquire this ID and you are arrested for any reason after this 6 month window, you will be deported.

4) Along with being given a Temp State ID, you will also be placed into a probationary period of 2 years (or more) where you must remain arrest free for that probationary period. Any misdemeanor or felony conviction will immediately get you deported. Also, like welfare, you must demonstrate that you are attempting to get LEGAL work.

5) After said probationary period, you will then enroll in the Citizenship Program which will allow for Citizenship at the end of the program. The program will consist of the current naturalization test and a naturalization class.

6) During the probationary period and Citizenship period, you cannot file for any financial aid.
