I still don’t understand the non refundable part of the event agreement. If the promoter changes the rules where you can’t bring a percentage of your legal product how is it still a valid contract?

I haven't seen the specific show contract with exhibitors, so I don't know what remedies the exhibitors may have in this case. Typically, the contracts for booth space are non-refundable and paid totally up front. As you mention, there may be breech of contract issues that could come into play, but it hardly ever helps save money when you have to get lawyers involved.
