Palin: 'We can't just preach to the choir'
The Politico ^ | January 26, 2013 | Mackenzie Weinger

In Sarah Palin’s first interview since parting ways with Fox News, the former Alaska governor said she doesn’t want to “just preach to the choir" and that she is looking to take her message to a "larger audience."

Palin told Breitbart News there needs to be “more truth-telling in the media” and called for fellow conservatives to follow her lead and expand their audience.

“I encourage others to step out in faith, jump out of the comfort zone, and broaden our reach as believers in American exceptionalism,” she told the conservative news site in a short Q&A. “That means broadening our audience. I’m taking my own advice here as I free up opportunities to share more broadly the message of the beauty of freedom and the imperative of defending our republic and restoring this most exceptional nation.”

“We can't just preach to the choir,” she said. “The message of liberty and true hope must be understood by a larger audience.”

It was reported Friday that Palin had parted ways with Fox News after three years and would no longer be a paid contributor. Palin joined Fox News in 2009, after she resigned as Alaska governor.

As for her future plans, Palin told Breitbart News the “door is wide open.”

“I know the country needs more truth-telling in the media, and I’m willing to do that,” she said. “So, we shall see.”(continued)

Sarah’s message of conservatism will never be stale no matter when she chooses to voice it. Please don’t be sore at her because she isn’t following your time line. She has her reasons, whatever they are. I, too, understand the urgency and I wrote her a letter stating as much. Maybe if we all do this, she’ll realize how many are ready to support her. We need a leader of unwavering conviction.

Oh, there are plenty of voters out there who just didn’t bother voting in the last election, as it has been in the past 6 or 8 national elections. The only way to get them to pay attention is get them informed, and interested in the issues, and I hope Sarah makes some opportunities to do just that. If we can get more conservatives to the voting booths, we CAN win.

Here’s the problem....demographics. The huge blocks of blacks and/or hispanics aren’t listening and are loyal Dems...aka...the sheep. She can’t change that.

Actually NO it is not. Demographics is but and excuse given by some for giving up and going along with those intent upon subverting the Constitution or a reason by some for subverting the Constitution -which are you?

America is a Republic -the problem is the government which increasingly oversteps its limits.

The problem is NOT that there is a new changing mob using government to impose its new will upon America. The problem is that government is mob ruled.

Palin is wonderfull...but her sell-by date has expired.

Maybe so IF one is looking for a media approved cult of personality. However, I look for principles and ideas that drives solutions in one possessing the ability to both articulate and execute them -a leader that stands for what I stand for -a leader I can stand with. That is Sarah. I would vote for her in a heartbeat.

At this point it doesn’t matter what she can change or not change. Millions of us out here are just waiting for someone with a megaphone to stand up and start telling the truth about the corruption of our culture. Someone who is, as she says, willing to step outside the comfort zone. Right now, every single Republican ‘leader’ (from Ryan to Rubio to Romney) is hiding under their desk scared to death of leaving the comfort zone.

-Unmarried women with bastard children. They view the State as their provider. They will not likely join the GOP.

-Hispanics. View the GOP as the party of anti immigrants, even though big business bused them in and made sure they were not deported. Honestly amnesty will hurt them more than they think, when their employers actually have to start paying taxes on them.

-Blacks: see unmarried women.

- Asians: Some chance here. But they still view the GOP as the “White man party”.
-Moslems: Not as solid Dem as you think. They are more in tune with the cultural views of Christians, and are still a small enough group to not have a huge national influence.

-NEA: The GOP needs to stop attacking education, and start attacking the problem. Trouble is that steps on the toes of a lot of the prior groups (single parent homes mess up education). But a teacher is a government job. My wife is a teacher, and I have to remind her constantly that the world she works in is NOT the real world. She doesn’t pay in to SS, has a pension, and better benefits than most.

So how do we fix that? Long term is to out breed those groups, (to be blunt). Trouble is if you look at history, no civilization has ever come back from this point.

I believe there is a 50/50 chance Palin may run in 2016.

In that, there is likewise a 50/50 chance, whether she runs as a Republican, or initiates a third party run.

Back at ya.

If you are arguing that we can somehow persuade the famous 47% to "switch sides":...No offense, sir, but your lineup looks like its populated by high priests of the church of the choir.....welfare voters would rather eat dog poop than to listen to one of these guys, let alone VOTE for a Republican.

I'm afraid its going to take a little stronger "persuasion" to overcome the cultural shift to the left than any of the Conservatives recommend trying.

Hard work, self sufficiency, integrity, honor, self control, dignity and self worth are not on the welfare voter's screen...getting more free stuff and voting for the people who promise them the most free stuff, are.

The only way to get them to "listen" would be to imbed subliminal messages into the "songs" they listen to and thru the TV programs that they are watching until the welfare office opens, or the clubs open at night.

we can't outbreed them. They are multiplying like rabbits. Young people of all stripes are being indoctrinated with propaganda via MSM and LEA and buy into liberalism. Conservatives for the most part are older and will die out.

The end-game is we lose big time. There is no way to win. However I propose we do what we can to delay and prolong the inevitable and slow them down. Never give up but I can't honestly think of a way to win this. I just see guerrilla warfare

Bunk.

The problem is our side have bought into the “export jobs” propaganda.

That is the big problem.

Bring jobs back to America. Bigtime.

And we will win elections.
