Absolutely, which is why we underestimate this man at our own peril. Every move he makes, every word that comes from his mouth is well thought out and with a purpose with that army behind him organizing and executing their strategy. This is all about winning the public opinion war. He is no fool.

He’s lying as usual. He’s never touched a gun in his life, and he’s just trying to sound reasonable in order to lull the stupid into believing gun control has validity. The best thing gun control advocates could do for the rest of us is to commit suicide so we don’t have to listen to the lies they tell, either.

I think he wants to make the United States safe for his electorate by taking the guns away from those who failed to vote for him. It’s all part of the plan.

The problem with your argument is that New York City IS one one of the safest big cities in the Country, if not the world, with a violent crime rate that is significantly lower than large "red-state" cities like Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Phoenix, Orlando, Jacksonville, Tampa-St. Petersburg, Norfolk, St. Louis, Tulsa, etc. I suspect that the low violent crime rate has less to do with gun control (the criminal element doesn't seem to have problem finding guns), but rather, the police crack-down on quality of life crimes and the unconstitutional "stop and frisk" policy that nabs bad guys before they are really bad.

Once again, if Obama’s lips are moving, he is lying. He is merely playing good cop for a while. He has no intention of backing down. In fact, I believe he and his fellow commies propose far out things they know will never pass, then agree to “compromise”, so that people will accept what they really intended to pass in the first place. He is always on the offensive to take away our freedom, our rights, and our money; no matter what he says for public consumption.

Of course Obama knows because he and Bill Ayers, who once was in favor of murdering 25 million Americans in concentration camps, are soul mates. Obama WANTS any excuse he can manufacture to murder Americans because that is who this vermin is: a murdering Marxist thug from Chicago by way of Hawaii, Indonesia, and Kenya.
Washington liberal elites live in expensive communities with security and major police protection. When a Washington elite calls the police a cop will be at their home in less than 7 minutes.
A middle class traditional American living in a rural area is NOT going to have a cop on the door step in 7 minutes - and maybe not in 20... but then again, how would liberal elites know that... facts and truth never enter their closed little minds.

But I do not believe he is changing his tactic, he is just stalling for more time. The paranoid side of me says that these idiots are planning a staged event. I can see a "Rodney King" type event in the spirit of the Nazi Crystalnacht(sp). It will be something like "dozens of defenseless blacks killed by white gunmen with AR-15's". GUn control with the added racial thing. Of course, the idiots will probably bungle that like they did with Fast and Furious.
