Before Isa 17:1 takes place, there will be the Psalm 83 war which will include Lebanon and Syria...
When the leaves are falling, we know winter is coming. When Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, and the palestinians attack Israel, we know our Lord is coming!!!
Here is an excellent read on it...

In verse 1 Asaph is petitioning God to issue a report. The answer can be found in Jer. 49:14 and Obadiah 1:1. Yes, there's going to be a war, Israel will annex Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Jordan, at least part of Syria... Then, with Hezbollah and Hamas gone, Israel will feel at peace. Without Lebanon, there will be no other claims to the gas fields in the Mediterranean, so Israel will be prosperous... Those will be the conditions that will lead to the Eze. 38 War.
Good read. I do not agree with everything, but it seems like we are mostly on the same page: Israel will not be defeated, the Church will be raptured very soon, and at the end of the Tribulation Jesus will come back. That's all that really matters, the rest is very interesting eschatological discussion.
