The joke is on the Times. Actually the hackers were conservatives posing as Chinese.

CHINESE HACKING METHOD:

* First, install malware — malicious software — that enabled them to gain entry to any computer on The Times’s network.

* The malware is a specific strain associated with computer attacks originating in China. More evidence of the source, experts said, is that the attacks started from the same university computers used by the Chinese military to attack United States military contractors in the past.

* Steal the corporate passwords for every Times employee and used those to gain access to the personal computers of employees, most of them outside The Times’s newsroom.

Gosh, everyone knows the New York Times is completely trustworthy, so this must be true. And they must be such a hard hitting investigative newspaper that the Chinese Military knows they needed to hack into their computers.

The Times must really be an important, relevant player!

OR,,a pathetic attempt to look like they matter.

No amount of security is going to help them if their employees keep clicking on the links in spam emails.

I wonder how many Nigerians have gotten rich off the NYT?

Well, at least they get the communist angle to the news that way. Pity they couldn’t hack Limbaugh and learn some facts instead!

Gathering data to blackmail the employees and the paper itself.

Sorry, no sympathy here. The NYT is a domestic enemy of the Constitution.

If I could, I'd haxor the NYT myself :-)

Gee, I assumed that the Chinese automatically be given administrator rights as a courtesy from one group of leftists to another.

Hackers in China are attacking the New York Times? ? ?

Why would they do something like that to America’s most accepted voice of communism?

Is there no longer any professional courtesy amongst sharks and commies?
