About as much as Krispy Kreme Christie going from a size 50 waist to a size 36 waist.
Like all good NJ senators, Menendez is just following the path of his esteemed predecessor Torch Torricelli...

We’d pick it up right away if Menendez resigned and Christie appointed Republican to fill the spot until the next regularly scheduled state election, which is 2013 I believe.

Scott Brown picked up Kennedy’s seat in MA in a special election. But that only lasted a couple of years. Fauxahontas beat him last Nov.

In an off year election and a Democrat resigning in disgrace, a Republican in NJ would have about the best shot possible to win in that blue state.
