58? Cold? LOL, considering its' been in the 70s for the last couple of weeks, yes it's cold.
Had to run to *Wally World* just a while ago, to pick up some cokes wife forgot earlier, shirt soaking wet, yep, cold enough for me :)

Yup. Always freaked me out seeing pictures of some houses in upstate New York (historic photos, maybe not so much anymore) with a door on the 2nd floor, no stairs, and snowshoes just outside the door.
Lake effect, blizzards, Cuomos...tough being an upstate New Yorker.

I’ve noticed that 50 in the fall is a lot harder to take than 50 in the spring.
It takes months to acclimate to the cold in the fall, and stepping out the door to acclimate to the warmth in the spring.

Yeah. Neither is desirable.
Thing is, NYS has SOOOO much going for it in a lot of ways. It’s an incredibly beautiful state and we have such great agriculture, in spite of a growing season that really could be longer.

Not long ago, we had a series of snows that covered the rooftops with heavy wet snow...lots of personal injuries and insurance claims from the damage. While I've lived here most of my life, I never recall seeing so many people up on their rooftops shoveling.
Dangerous work...leave it to the professionals.
