Good news from Chris Rock: Obama is sort of our dad and our boss
Hotair ^

Via the Examiner, the only thing that makes this slightly less creepy than Demi Moore’s famous pledge of allegiance to The One is the fact that Rock can always plead “it’s a joke” later on. Is it, though? If you wanted a concise explanation of why liberals are suddenly A-OK with kill lists and drone strikes, you could do worse than this.

Exit question: Is the president still our dad and our boss when he’s a Republican?

“...OUR DAD’”

In another country, in the previous century, they had a similar phrase which was “my dad” or more accurately:

“my father”

and they said it in their language like this:

“Mien Fuehrer”

The president is supposed to be the person we hire to take care of the administrative part of running the country. He is less our father than our attorney.
However, I am somewhat skeptical about calling any government official a 'father', whom we are compelled to obey.

How long would Chris Rock last in a lifeboat full of shipwreck survivors?

I’m guessing about 10 minutes!

He made it very clear he never read the federalist and the ant-federalist papers, along with other documents used in the formation of the country.

This attitude of the govt being your “daddy” is what’s wrong with the citizens.

Apparently these hollywood idiots don’t realize that we are not a monarchy and that our elected officials work for us. We are their bosses and not the other way around.

If Obama had a son he would look a lot like Chris Rock.
