A Second former LAPD officer releases a manifesto

Christopher Dorner is creating quite a firestorm of attention directed toward the Los Angles Police Department, and now his efforts have doubled in another manifesto created by former LAPD Officer Joe Jones.

In its entirety, it reads:

“My Former LAPD Officer Joe Jones MANIFESTO…

I know most of you who personally who me are in disbelief of the partial story I will tell today. A story that has been suppressed for about 18 years, But lives strong everyday of my life.

I without hesitation would like to send my condolences to the Victims who were lost and their families during this tragic situation. I would also like to send my condolences and well wishes to the many former and current Officers, as well as Citizen’s and their families who lost the lives and souls of loved one’s to the injustices of Police Corruption, Scandal, Lies, Deception and Brutality.

Unlike Former Officer Dorner, I fear dying; But I also fear living in a society where Innocent people are dying for no reason. A society where pain so great can be afflicted to people who have to desire to live right and treat people right and then be punished for doing right.

They say we all look alike. In very few cases this of course is true. But in most cases it is not. I feel a resemblance to Dorner, (See Photos) However several people who have no resemblance to Dorner have been shot due to the fear of what is taking place. I DO NOT WANT TO BE SHOT FOR CRIMES I DID NOT COMMIT!. Neither does anyone else.

Freak Out Nation? Is that a more or less credible source than MSNBC?

There aren't may sources less credible.

“who personally know me”? A bad transcription from handwritten notes, or an OCR error?

I see a lot of odd capitalization errors and misuse of single-quotes as well, but seeing what passes for writing skills these days, that doesn’t mean much by itself.

I know what you mean, but here is the same manifesto on the Joe Jones Facebook page: Joe Jones on Facebok

They really need to hire people who have a command of the English language.

“So what does he want?? Is he part of the Grievance Brigade???”

I will bet a hundred dollars that one way or another this guy is living on the Gov’t tit. Could be disability of some kind from his time with LAPD or a pension from LAPD

Closing the BATFE tomorrow morning would be a big start on Common Sense reform.

maybe he wants to tell his story... he pretty much says he wants the “fair” part of the LAPD to keep up the necessary work, and the corrupt part of the LAPD to reform...

How is LAPD better or worse than any other big city police department? They all have a certain amount of corruption and racism. How about the anti white racism of preferential hiring and advancement (promotions thus more $$$) for minorities in fire&police departments nationwide? Of course this “manifesto” clown will not address this.

There are a lot of racial beefs out there in the USA so he should take a ticket and get in line. Like I posted, I’ll bet he is taxpayer supported one way or another via disability or something else. This dufus is biting the hand that feeds him

So what does he want??

The part in ALL CAPS gives us a clue----he doesn't want to be shot like those ladies out delivering the newspaper or even shot at like the fellow on his way surfing.

i don't know... and i suppose neither does he... he is sharing his personal experience with the LAPD--the "unfair" portion of it... not his views on how it compares with other city police departments...

There are a lot of racial beefs out there in the USA so he should take a ticket and get in line.

from what i've read of his manifesto--i didn't get that his beef had anything to do with racial issues...

Like I posted, I’ll bet he is taxpayer supported one way or another via disability or something else.

but i do wonder if anyone of color could have any "legitimate beef" in your eyes...

I would rather get facts on this subject from a more rational source than racist whiners. In the past, I have been surprised by this sort of “complaint” out of the blue, by someone I considered a friend and very competent at his job. No substantiating evidence was ever found.

Hmmm Cops can’t be trusted. Must be about time to start activating the Obama Civilian Defense Force.

These days a lot of Hispanics in our military are on the front lines because they have warrior spirit unlike blacks

Interesting. I didn't know that.

Tell me more.
I know that obama has gotten under all of our skin and has been doing a good job at dividing this country. You are only playing into his hand when you fall for that trap. There are good people of every race in this country. If they assimilate and become good Americans and cherish this country and all it stands for, the color of their skin doesn't matter.

Don't close Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives! Turn it into a chain of convenience stores! Although mixing alcohol and explosives can lead to suboptimal results.

Yes, perhaps, but think of all the great "hold my beer and watch this" videos it would spawn! :)

We have plenty of blacks in our military but they are in support roles, not in combat. They are not getting killed and wounded. This is how it seems to me. Whites and Hispanics are the ones in combat. I cannot remember an obituary or an account of a wounding of a black guy in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan

Dennis;

Generalizations generally are misleading.

Why don’t you take up a research challenge, find out how many by race/sex have been wonded/killed and how many by the same servce in combat arms units, compared to support and service support units?

I personally don’t know the answers and I bet the DOD would not help you (not PC to do such breakdown).

Then, once you have a decent research finding, post it here so we can see the results.

As a combat arms enlisted and commissioned Soldier, I served with all flavors, race was not an issue with exceptions, we fought to keep each other alive, those who cold not deal the hand, were removed to lessor locations and duties.

I trusted my life to men of all races and creeds, and they did the same.

Would like to see the data, however.
