Some thoughtful comments for sure.

I’ll respond to your last comment first; you already know the answer, he’s a Dem and has the main stream media providing cover for him (him being Obama).

About Bush, most of what you say has an element of truth in them. However, history will eventually show that Bush, in spite of his Texas drawl, is/was a pretty smart guy. And, by the way, failing numerous times before succeeding is not a sin. Keeping on trying however is an attribute, especially when trying in the west Texas oil patch.

Concerning Akin and O’donald specifically; there are many independents and fiscal conservatives who are willing to turn a blind eye to some of conservative care abouts such as abortion and 2nd amendment issues and pull the lever for the Republican ticket. However, Akin’s comments were so over the top ridiculous that these people couldn’t get them and thereby didn’t/wouldn’t vote for him.

And so are Todd Akin and Christine O'Donnell. I have known Christine O'Donnell for almost 10 years, personally, one on one (from time to time) and she is very smart. A little lazy sometimes. But very smart.

Now if you can look past George Bush's Texas drawl and you can look past a woman's beauty and sweet, adorable personality, you might be able to understand that she is a professional and capable and very bright person instead of being hung up on her sweetness and beauty. If you handed Christine a briefing package on a topic she knew nothing about, in 3 hours she could go on national television and clean the clock of the nation's top liberal expert on that topic.

And, by the way, failing numerous times before succeeding is not a sin. Keeping on trying however is an attribute, especially when trying in the west Texas oil patch.

I agree. But is that true for everyone or for only some people? Do you have the same standard for everyone or only for GOP insiders?

We can apply the exact same standard to Christine O'Donnell, right? But you won't offer the same analysis will you?

However, Akin’s comments were so over the top ridiculous that these people couldn’t get them and thereby didn’t/wouldn’t vote for him.

HOW exactly were they over the top? George Bush advocated OBGYNs being free to PRACTICE THEIR LOVE with women across the country. Is it not over the top for Bush to advocate OBGYNs practicing love with their patients?

What exactly do you IMAGINE that Akin said that was so over the top, as opposed to simply mangling his words?

The reason I am pushing this is because you are a VICTIM of the media spin and the GOP insiders' spin.

You BELIEVED the spin that you have been fed. And that is why I am pushing this. You have to realize that you have been CONNED by the GOP insiders.

Todd Akin noted that there are actual rapes and false accusations of rape. Is that over the top?

Todd Akin said that DOCTORS TOLD HIM something about fertility under stress, which other doctors have since confirmed as true, such as calling in to the Rush Limbaugh show. Stress does impact fertility.

But how is it over the top to believe what a doctor tells you?
