Skipping out on a $2.25 subway fare cost this guy 10 years of his life.
A Manhattan PATH rider was sentenced yesterday to seven years in prison

Sounds like a hip-hopper. At 37, he sounds too old to be getting “public” transport for free.
The mans stupidity cost him 10 years.
Sanabria was also carrying extra bullets and a holster.
Oh my goodness! He had a Glock, and he was carrying "a holster!" Was it an illegal, assault holster? Was it a high capacity holster?
No wonder the print media is dying!

“Extra bullets”
Wow. Surprise he didn’t get the chair.
If this guy had a criminal record it is public. Why don’t we know?
Betcha:
Illegal Alien.
Engaged in the “pharmacutical” trade.....like most of the Nation’s gangbangers, and “handgun crimers”.
Without him and his Ilk the nation would be essentially crime-free. Too bad about the (unconstitutional) gun rap.
Blooombergia East and all that.
First mistake was being in NYC.
$2.00 verses 3 hots and a cot every day for 7 yrs, who says crime don’t pay!
Second mistake was doing things that could bring attention to himself while conceal carrying a gun in NYC.
If you are going to carry concealed - illegally - don’t break other laws that will draw attention to yourself.
Just like if you’re going to drink and drive make sure all your car lights work - and use them.
Still, the guy’s a total maroon, and probably cannot be trusted with a firearm. If I was carrying an illegal firearm in NYC, I would be *damn* careful not to draw attention to myself unnecessarily. Turnstile jumping is one way to draw official attention, fast.
One innovation that NYPD adopted during the Giuliani/Bratton era was to process people stopped for "minor" offenses. They often discovered the guy would have warrants out on him for major stuff. The criminal personality violates the law routinely and chronically.
I grew up in Queens, and a local white kid, when he was around 20 used to like to smoke dope and hang out on Parsons Boulevard and Hillside Avenue. He bought a “clean” black market 0.25 automatic, “clean” meaning the vendor “certified” that is wasn’t used in any murders. So he stood around on the corner of Hillside and Parsons, smoking a joint and waving his pop gun. A couple of black undercover cops from the 103 busted him. The DA wanted him to do five years, but he wound up getting a felony conviction and probation.
He was meathead. People like that should *not* have firearms.
This might be the (in Florida) rather well known Rubin Q Sanabria. At least the age (32) is right.
