Four California high-school students were reportedly suspended for chanting U.S.A! U.S.A! and wearing American flag bandanas during a basketball game. While their punishment has since been rescinded, school administrators said "the incident is far from over." Oxnard Union School District superintendent Gabe Soumakian... and Camarillo High School principal Glenn Lipman felt that the students' actions might have had racist undertones since the schools have large Hispanic student populations. And why would Hispanic students *not* want to chant U.S.A., y'know, since they *are* US citizens, right?
Apparently, the cultural situation in California has deteriorated to such an extent that it’s considered bad form to take pride in being an American.
So...
Are you Irish or American?
The teachers would be okay with them singing “The Internationale” instead.
If another 911 happens, and it probably will, we’ll see a whole different kind of response from the people than we did after the first one.
Commie rat bastids*.
*My Massachusetts accent returns when I’m upset.
Commies are running everything in this country.
American. (But I do know all the Irish rebel songs!) I can actually get an Irish passport, but never did. Never understood the dual citizenship thingy. I may do it for international travel if things keep deteroriating.
I remember (ahem) certain ethnic groups who sported things like, the slogan, “Don’t Watch the Skies — Watch Your Back!” It was clear from that time on that civil war is coming.
