It’s nice to have a happy ending to this otherwise sad story.

Who are they kidding? It’s against the law to steal so there has to be something wrong with this article. Nobody would steal anything in detroit (middle east comes to America) now would they? Of course not.

Detroit looks more like Lord of the Flies every day.But that’s to be expected when Rat politicians and Marxist unions march hand in hand for 40 years.

Shoot them. When the damage done exceeds by magnitudes the value wrought, it is a crime against society, and has to be stopped by any means.

” a 34-year-old man was electrocuted at Putnam and Lawton, near I-96, while attempting to steal copper wire from a transformer...”

Always make sure the power is off first. If a transformer is warm and hummin’, chances are its live. :-/

but for every move we make, the thieves come up with a counter-move

Imagine what the thieves could do if they put that much effort into something legitimate.

It’s a shame to see what has happened to Detroit, it used be an incredible town back in the late 50’s early 60’s.

If you haven’t yet read the comments posted by readers on this article (published by a CBS affiliated outlet) then you might want to check ‘em out. Some are hilarious but most accurately describe the pathetic state of the city — and the reasons for it.

but for every move we make, the thieves come up with a counter-move,”... And those counter-moves are sometimes deadly... a 34-year-old man was electrocuted... while attempting to steal copper wire from a transformer...

Just a suggestion, but instead of making moves to insulate and protect the copper, perhaps take the opposite tact, and make them totally within reach. Might take a few sensational headlines, but should dry up the well of thieves eventually...

The thought that comes to my mind is why aren’t they also taking the aluminum light poles.

Years ago in West Palm Beach thieves cut the aluminum poles down with chain saws and then into convenient lengths to haul away.

We are in the middle of a conquest by people from the Third World. A conquest usually means those who are governing during the conquest can no longer protect those who founded and developed the nation and its wealth. Indeed, those who are in positions of authority, towards the end, often favor and assist the invaders; and those portions of the resident demographic who are assisting the invaders.

The above observations apply to the Michigan area today. For those who are watching the invaders and their helpers and wonder what is happening, their actions are called a SACK! A good summary as to what is a sack, and what will become worse, in Michigan, and elsewhere will be found in Gibbon's description as to what was happening in Italy during the period 370 to 425 A.D.

Oh! By the way the same SACK is taking place in California as in Michigan. The San Joaquin Valley of California is being systematically sacked of copper and farm equipment.

The invaders and their helpers in the California State Legislature have virtually destroyed the San Joaquin valley. That valley was once one of the wealthiest agricultural areas IN THE WORLD. Current Legislative policies towards that valley are designed to transfer the property from the former owners to the invaders.
