I know a black guy who didn’t vote for obama in 2008. He said “obama ain’t as black as me.” And that’s the truth in a nutshell. obama doesn’t think of himself as a black American. I think even a majority of them would vote for him a 3rd time if possible in the privacy of the voting booth. The pull of racial identity is far too strong for the majority of blacks.
