Do you live near a big city? Where I am at, there is a very organized hording effort going on. The chances of getting an AR at Walmart is about the same as catching a glimpse of Aphrodite in the buff. If I were in the market for an AR, I would be truly be SOL. Thankfully, I am not. I know someone who just spent $2800 for a COLT SOCOM. I told him to wait because the AWB will not pass, but he was scared and wanted to get one while he could. To bad, he did not listen to me following the election.

I think you are right about the supply eventually catching up with demand. The ammo supply does seem to be increasing even if people still snatch it up as quickly as it comes in. All bets are off if ammo purchase restrictions are put in place. However, I don’t see that passing either.

The WalMart I went to has been getting 5-10 ARs a week. I just got religion on getting a semi auto after the election like most who were driving this frenzy. The prices at auction websites are coming back to reality. The Windham I paid $799 for can now be had for $1050 not the $1400 of 3 weeks ago. You might not be able to readily buy a colt or daniels but doublestar and bushmasters are for sale at buds for regular prices plus 30%. The only positive is that we as a society are better armed than we were only 3 months ago.
