Aren't you the funny little man? WWI vets had Armistice Day, WWII vets had multiple national celebrations, the Korean War vets were ignored as we were and the Gulf War was a week-long "drive-by shooting" followed by a parade through Washington DC. I guess by your comments, you missed our war. I didn't - so I'm grateful for the few glimmers of respect that we do receive.
Dear alaska wolf,
WW1 and WW2 have always been accepted as “legitimate wars”, whereas the Korean War and the Vietnam War were not.
How do I know this? Because I was there! The Korean war was the U.S.’s first combat operation to stem the flow of (communism). The Vietnam War has a lot of different people defining it in their own perspective, but (communism) was one of the major reasons.
The Gulf War, as brief as it was, was ginned up as an effort to sweep all those military actions between Vietnam and there, under the rug of forgetfulness, as being dirty and unlikeable. This war was “a good one”, and it was a “legitimate” one. And, of course, not a hint of anything (communism) to show.
Now, I sit here, sick, sick SICK, that the American Sheeple have swallowed the lies put forth with every show, every spoonful, every day, as the country marches directly into the pages The Communist Manifesto, proudly!
Everything that would be gathered under “Chevrolet, Mom, and Apple Pie”, has turned to Ezekiel’s DUNG!
Maybe you might start letting go of assimilating a (;;;;)ant, and start doing something to save your country!
Thailand-Cambodia 1971 - 1974.
Cold War 1974 - 1980.
Vietnam 72-73
Take your day and....
1 Mothers Day, 1 Fathers Day, 1 Thanksgiving Day, 1 Christmas Day, 1 Valentines Day, 1 Presidents Day, 1 Independence Day, 1 Easter and 1 Veterans Day in any given year.
Alaska has. If you don't like it, you don't have to observe or participate wherever you are. Many like the fact and will observe and participate.
Eff them
There are many who are happy about it. Are those veterans the ones you want to Eff?
You forgot Memorial Day. You may find this interesting.
