spandex on men is plain wrong, just so wrong wrong wrong, my wife woudl leave me if I wore them and I have a decent athletic body and rightly so for her too.
= = = = = = = = = = = =
I, for 73, also am in good shape.

OF COURSE, one must concede ROUND is a shape.

I played football BEFORE the mandatory ‘face mask’ and when they got around to it, it was just a plain single bar AND it seemed to interfere with my vision (sure that was just my mind saying ‘how stupid it was’)

Also in baseball the ‘batting helmet’ was 2 pieces of plastic held together with a couple strips of elastic type material...

In going along to get along I will say that I was saved from at least a good shiner when batting with the helmet in place, I was squared around to bunt and turned my head on an inside pitch, the force of the ball hitting the ‘helmet’ sent it flying — although I recall ‘we’ did sort of wear it as high as possible so it could be easily thrown off after hitting the ball.... Naturally the ‘helmet’ impeded ones ability to run.
I think it was mandatory in Little League but not in HS or Babe Ruth League.

I have 3 standing rules.
If you EVER see me with a back pack or book bag ON, shoot me on the spot. (I have considered ‘changing’ my mind on a fanny pack as that is (or could be) an excellent place to carry concealed).
If you EVER see me put luggage on top of my SUV or use one of those ‘bumper extenders’, shoot me on the spot.
If you EVER see me in Spandex, AFTER you stop laughing, shoot me on the spot and as a favor to all, SHOOT the SOB that either sold it to me or gave it to me.

THANKS...

I despise the way the cyclists look wearing that stuff, so creepy. Oh and they stick their hind quarters out while riding and they run in packs on the curvy roads where I live and refuse to follow the single file rule hogging the entire road and making us afraid they will veer off into the driver and then blame the driver. Maroons.

LOL, if I wore a helmet and spandex and I have a decent body then my wife would shoot me , that;s after eevryone in this area laughing at me.

Like what has been said, there is something wrong with seeing grown older men wearing tights, and helmets and tight tight tight shirts to ride a bicycle.

I remember seeing near Daytona around bike week a group of bikers taking the scenic ride on A1A, all gruff older men, then they got stoped at a red light.
Then two around 35 years old males came up on their bicycles with their very bright, shirts, so bright you needed sunglasses to look at them, their tight spandex showing off their skinny legs and their dynamic shaped multi colored helmets.

Even my kids friends in the truck started laughing and the bikers gave wolf whistles to these two males, my wife told me that if I eevr look like those two shemales then she would disown me.

My youngest plays soccer and a kid fell on the floor, right away the kdis started to get on one knee, they all stopped playing, the parents ran on and carried him off, got the ice, other parents around this kid all asking if he;ll be alright and is it broken.

The damage done was a slight small scratch on the thigh which you need a microscope to see.
That boy lapped the attention up, acted as he was now a martyr for the game and then low and behold pal, he ran on two mins later like nothing happened.
One woman said they should wear helmets to play soccer.

For crying out loud, will the wussification of America ever stop.

Took my kids to England and the kids were tougher there than here and the kids were surprised to hear from my boys that many boys at their schools have never had a fight[BTW my oldest is a boxer, won state champ3 or 4 years ago and my other kids only stay down when they are really hurt .

My youngest boy who need 5 stitches at aged 5 I think next to his eye and was bleeding a lot but still never cried and said after I’,m a big boy I never cried are you proud of me.

damn right I was

Have a nice weekend pal, take care of yourself and let it be known not all of my generation are raising fairies
