1. Football is a violent game, played by violent men.

You got it pal! Football is no more violent than ping pong and is played by gentle cuddly kitty cats!

Apparently the girl was the girl friend of one of the boys charged.

News coverage of the trial showed the defense stating that she “had a crush” on one of the teens. The prosecution said she went along with them, drank until she couldn’t stand up, and the guy she “had a crush on” shared her with his friend.

She made stupid choices. So did the guys. Her stupid choices led to her rape. The guys stupid choices led to jail and a sex offender designation.

I am glad they were convicted.

Given that the quasi-terrorist group Anonymous was up in arms about this case, as was the liberal media, I would like to ask where were they when 17 blacks raped an 11 year old Hispanic girl, and the New Black Panther Party and the New York Times blamed the girl?

STEUBENVILLE - Everyone involved in the rape case against two Steubenville High School student-athletes said it should be used as a life lesson for parents and teenagers.

Visiting Juvenile Judge Thomas Lipps found Trent Mays, 17, of Bloomingdale and Ma’Lik Richmond, 16, of Steubenville guilty Sunday of rape in connection with an incident involving an underage girl Aug. 11-12. Mays also was found delinquent of a charge of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material for having a picture of the 16-year-old victim in an outgoing text message on his cell phone.

The non-jury trial at the Jefferson County Justice Center lasted four days, with testimony ending Saturday evening.

I agree completely with your statements, and sadly it showcases the perverse levels of protection some individuals receive (from coaches, some parents, teachers, etc.) simply because they play a game... however, the question was directed more toward the media’s emphasis on the perps being football players, everything else of importance is secondary to them.

Your logic here makes zero sense.

I stated that this story advances the liberal assertion that ALL men are violent and prone to commit violent acts. Not quite sure how you've missed the relentless attacks on boys and men from the left over the last 20-30 years, but they're perverted assertion is that ALL men are potential rapists and murderers. There's even a feminist "professor" at the University of Michigan that asserts that intercourse between a wife and husband is rape... Google it.

Doesn't make sense? Of course it doesn't make sense, these idiotic assertions are forwarded by libtards, not me.

Again, how does THIS story advance that liberal assertion? Specifics please. Not just knee-jerk reactions.

This was a terrible story. And needed to be reported. Do you think it should have been buried?

But I think the point is that these boys received the protection they did from authorities because and only because they were football stars. And that created the controversy.

We have serious institutional legal and moral failings when WHO you are determines the crimes you can commit without consequences. In our society the protected class includes politicians, celebrities and athletes.

“I stated that this story advances the liberal assertion that ALL men are violent and prone to commit violent acts.”

Your words.

“Because it furthers the perverted libtard, feminist, socialist, anti-male, pinko narrative:

1. Football is a violent game, played by violent men.

2. All men are violent, therefore all men rape.

3. The only way to ensure peace and harmony across the planet is to destroy evil and violent male-dominated societies.

4. The scumbag socialist propogandists use stories like this to assert to the ignorant masses that every man is capable of this despicable crime.”

Also your words.

So you’re indicting the press for even reporting on this story? Or what is it about the reporting you’re condemning? Or should we just have ignored it?

So... clue me in....

Unfortunately, being called "dumb" by you has the same effect on me as that of a child boldly declaring "you can't add letters" because algebra is beyond them.
