Colo. Corrections Dept. chief shot, killed at home (irony warning)

The fatal shooting of Colorado's top prisons official when he answered the front door at his house highlights a troubling reality for the nation's judges, prosecutors and other legal officials: At a time when attacks on them are rising, it's difficult for them to remain secure, even when they are off duty.

Investigators do not yet know why Tom Clements, 58, was shot around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at his home just north of Colorado Springs. They could not rule out any possibilities, including that it was a random shooting or that it was an attack related to Clements' job, authorities said.

While small in numbers, similar attacks on officials have been increasing in the U.S. in recent years, said Glenn McGovern, an investigator with the Santa Clara County District Attorney's office in California who tracks such incidents worldwide. He said there have been roughly as many in the past three years - at least 35 - as the entire prior decade. Revenge is usually the motive, he added.

Occam’s razor.

Most logical and simplest explanation is usually correct.

If I was going to lay down a bet, I would go with this.

I wouldn’t be surprised.
I think I’ve become more paranoid over the last year. The last 3 deliveries that were made to my home and required the delivery men to be in my home (furniture, appliances etc.) were all immigrants from Muslim countries (2 from Tajikistan and 1 from Uzbekistan). All spoke flawless English, though they had been in the country less than 3 years and none were on a student visa and all on supposed work visas though there only job was working as delivery men.
All I could think of when they left is when did I move back to Toledo, OH and not realize it and then I thought wow what a way for enemies to get to know the routes around an area and to get a feel for the people of a certain community!

Law enforcement had better have some serious discussions with the gun grabbing politicians. LE wants law abiding gun owners on their side.

“This was a professional hit”
Fox and Friends has a piece this AM linking this shooting to a Saudi, whose appeal was last denied by the victim.

I figure they should look at all contracts ( construction, procurement, medical, etc.) he may have denied, put up for low bid bidding, or cancelled. Sounds slightly like Jersey style rigging.

Well, well...if you have enough money, you can buy your justice...any kind of justice.

I hear the hit may have been planned and prosecuted by the Saudi a tad upset that the Governors bud didn’t let a rapist get a free trip to Saudi Arabia -sentencing him to a little time in jail? If true goes hand in hand with the Jail house conversion of the Dark Knight shooter to Islam. Our governor pays Jizya and there is NO mention of the Islamic subjugation of this State anywhere locally.Instead they would enslave us all.
