“NOTE: The Republican party was founded through the simple expedient of creating a committee to issue a call to still extant state political party structures to meet to nominate someone to run for President.More correctly, the party was founded by creating a Republican National Committee which accepted delegates from former Whig state parties and existing Abolitionist party-like bodies.”

I agree, but that takes money. You can’t just invite everyone over to your parlor. You’ll need to rent a venue. Also, if the event fails (and the press will claim it did in any case) then the attempt will have set back or killed the cause. It needs to be well organized, financed and set up in advance to succeed. You’d need some big names to agree in advance to attend. It needs to project inevitability from the get-go.

So, who sends delegates? Well, that's easy ~ Texas, Florida, Arizona, Virginia, North Carolina, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin (but they gotta' keep Priebus away ~ no Priebus).... and where we can't trust the state party we bring in a delegation from TEAParty.

State's with problem parties ~ e.g. all of New England, New Yor, New Jersey, etc., don't get called in. We'll address them later.

Now, the money, that comes from big money donors who think they got ripped off with the Romney trick. There've gotta' be a bunch of those guys around.
