I thought they should have apologized to all the Vietnamese Americans who fled that communist rat hole for the song glorifying the Communist party.

Few people seem to remember the Vietnamese Boat people who fled on leaky rafts and boats after the fall of Saigon. Over 2,000,000 people, of whom some 200,000 to 400,000 died per the UN. Plus all the people who fled to refugee camps in Thailand (another million) of whom another 100,000 to 200,000 died.

Why did they flee? Because the Vietnamese governent sent some 1.5 million people to "reeducation" camps where they were forced to listen to beautiful Socialist songs like they sang in this episode. Of those some 150,000 were executed. This doesn't count the numerous purges done in the country right after the before and after the fall of Saigon. Estimates of those rise to over a million over the whole country. So while I am happy they apologized to Vietnam Vets, they really should have apologized to the Vietnamese Americans.

Uncle Ho was just as brutal as Uncle Joe in making sure he had a compliant people. If you don't believe me read about the Hue massacre.

Uncle Ho was nowhere near as brutal as Uncle Joe and simply trying to find his place in the litany of mass murders. Joe told Ho to get back to him when he got to double digits, Mao told them both to wake him when they got to tripple digits ...
