His wife was the Chief Justice of the Massachusetts supreme court (it has a different name) when it ruled 4-3 to force same-sex marriage on the state of Massachusetts...she was part of the majority.
I doubt that the Constitution of of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts empowers the husband of the Chief Justice to vote on cases before the court.
And who appointed his wife to the Massachusetts Supreme Court?
