The Gay Craze Hits Pro Sports (Will a macho NFL player out himlself?)
American Thinker ^ | 03/27/2013 | J. Robert Smith

Posted on 03/27/2013 5:49:26 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Reuters reported yesterday that not one player in major pro team sports has boldly, proudly proclaimed himself as gay. The story's particular focus is on the NFL, which, of course, oozes masculinity (like the military) and, hence, needs to be gay-ized and feminized (in terms of eliminating nasty old contact that leads to big booboos).

The left is stepping up its focus on gays in pro team sports as part of its game plan to prove to average Americans (especially those macho sports fans) that gayness isn't just the province of flower shops and HGTV. Masculinity is under assault (as it has been) and must be redefined. Bye, bye bold colors, beer swilling, and locker room humor; hello pastels, chardonnay, and girl and gay chat.

Gay-ized is about the only thing that the left can hawk in pro sports at the present. Feminization - as in shoehorning women onto pro sports teams isn't tenable. There's still too much of that disagreeable, old fashioned merit remaining in pro sports; science hasn't gotten to the point where it can genetically manipulate women to be bigger, stronger, and agile enough to compete with the "boys" on the old grid-iron. Don't the left and feminists wish?

As Russ Vaughn pointed out on American Thinker's pages earlier, there are plenty of injuries - and illness - coming out of gay bathhouses. Quite a misnomer, "bathhouse." It suggests cleanliness. Bathhouses should be called "incubators" - for HIV, hepatitis, and meningitis, among other unsavory communicable diseases - diseases that aren't necessarily confined to the gay community, as we learned grimly from the spread of HIV starting in the 1980s.

Bet they won’t have an answer for that one .

Sure they would. First they would answer "there is no God." They would follow up with "there was no Adam." And they would finish with "you are an irrational, bible-thumping bigot."

Furthermore, in their minds they would be thinking "I can hardly wait for the day when they can do something about people like you."

Pro Sports was doomed with the “pink socks” when the red socks were volunteering for a metrosexual makover.

If this does in fact happen, the NFL is finished. Those broadcast contracts are less valuable.

Proof? just look at the wnba. most people have never heard of them, never seen an ad for them.

If there is an openly gay player in the NFL next season, every time he takes an especially hard hit from an opposing player, the media will speculate that he is being “targeted” by the other players in the league.

I could see where if it were a quarterback, an offensive lineman might not be too keen to protect his blindside.

Yes. I’d expect that type of irrational thinking.

My response would be without a god you wouldn’t be here talking to me.....

It used to be “The Love that dares not speaks its name”

Now, it’s the “Love that won’t shut the F up”.

Is THAT ever the truth!!!!

Of course you are right. But don’t expect to meet many people anymore who believe as we do. Any argument underpinned with an appeal to Higher Authority will be summarily rejected by many Americans, including an overwhelming majority of the under-30 crowd. This is why it is essential for us to develop secular arguments and justifications for our positions. Put another way, you feed the sheep one thing and the goats another.

Right on target. And its not this particular sin that is at issue, it is the nation sanctifying conduct that God calls sin. Same with abortion. Same with placing false gods on the same platform as God Almighty. “Woe to them that call good evil, and evil, good.”

God’s chosen people, separated from the rest of the world, kept turning away from God, and accepting and incorporating practices and religions of other peoples, openly defying God. God chastised them by allowing the Babylonians, and the Assyrians take over Israel. Happened over and over.

Our government is taking multiple stances that pro-actively repudiating and defying God, His Word, His Commandments. I fear for what may come to our country.

I enjoy home renovation shows but HGTV has ruined it what with all the gays they have on these shows. Is it now a criteria that only gays get a house re-do or are straight couples not worthy? I was channel surfing a couple nights ago and happened to catch someone call one of the flaming gay designers a man’s man and nearly fell off the couch. All this revved up gay thing is that they have some personality disorder where they crave attention.

Read the book The Harbinger. It is a little hokey in the way it is written, but the message that it conveys is right on. We are a nation that is arrogantly defying God in the wake of multiple warnings. As a nation, we should be trembling right now.

Speaking of gay, I just saw the Dolphins’ new logo.

If Don Shula was dead, he’d be rolling over in his grave.
