I watched westerns on TV in the 50s and 60s. I remember that many of the shows were anti-vigilante propaganda. I can’t remember a single show showing vigilantism in a favorable light.

Every kid in Montana, and most in Northern Wyoming and Western South Dakota, knows what 3-7-77 is about, and where it comes from.
