Exactly. My degree is ‘worth less’ than my hands-on military training. Employers have always been amazed at the amount of work I can get done in a day, my organizational and leadership skills, I’m on time, dependable, etc.
In one case it hurt me getting a job I really wanted; the woman hiring me knew I would replace her in about 2 weeks time, LOL!
But, things work out as they should and I am in a great place in my work life right now. Thanks, Uncle Sam!

Im a trades man and went to work one time for a bigger firm and was told by fellow employes to slow down you are making us look bad
