Yep, that’s what she did. Took one of my t-shirts from the laundry room, to the computer room and made herself a bed atop one of the cardboard boxes in the back of the room, but with a straight shot to the door, for a quick and certain escape, if need be.

She only slept in the computer room during the winter. She otherwise would sleep on the garage roof, but liked to sit with me for a couple of hours each day.

I fed her VERY, VERY handsomely. The best of everything. She ate what Jack ate. That’s how we became acquainted I caught glimpses of her sneaking into the house grabbing bites of his food! I finally started sitting at the back door with a plate of food for her next to me. Slowly she came to eat it, and then one day, she came up to me and rubbed against me. A few days later she came right up to me and wanted to be petted. The rest was history.

The 2 cats that we have now are strictly house cats but we have had others in the past that loved to bring us half alive ‘gifts’.

I tempted Chloe with a piece of chicken. When she got close enough, I grabbed the back of her neck and ran for the house. Everyone freaked because she was wild. I fed her and she had a soft warm place to sleep and she decided that she was home. However she didn't like my husband. I belonged to her and she'd occasionally hiss at him. I sleep with my arm under my pillow and she'd sleep above my pillow with her head in my hand.

Food is usually the “hook”. What you offered was much better than what was on the hoof. lol
