From your lips to God's ear. Same for Juan McLame.
Thanks for the list. I’m surprised I didn’t see Pat Toomey’s name there. I will contact him immediately.
No surprise there. John Cornyn was taken by the dark side years ago. Ted Cruz must terrify him to his bones.
You say that after reading the excerpt about Rand Paul threatening to filibuster the Senate if an anti-gun bill comes up?
You still have to be careful.
Mourdock ran 10 points BEHIND Romney (yes that’s right) and lost to a Dem.
Now we have “Obama Joe” Donnelly for 6 long years.
I’m not too worried. Mourdock was a fool. There are better candidates in SC than him but getting rid of Lugar shows it can be done.
Cornyn will probably sign on to this next week but just in case send him an email.
Well that’s funny, because the TEA party seems the GOP as its primary threat.
I’ll vote for the TEA party.
100%. If the GOP finds a way to welcome the TEA party I will (then) vote for the GOP.
But my vote goes first and primary at this point, to the TEA party.
ounds good, but make sure your Tea Party candidate doesn’t choke in the general and you wind up with a devout Dem. These candidates HAVE to go to campaign boot camp and learn to deal with the journ-0-list assault.
Need candidates that don’t shoot themselves in the foot!! or foot in mouth disease!!
I like Rand Paul’s common sense over others. Rand has surprised me on many issues, but I dis-liked his father, Ron Paul, and still do.
AMEN, Brother!!!!!!!
You must live in New Jersey.
What are the differences between Rand and Ron?
Who is your guy...URL, etc. Thanks
Stamina, good looks, Youth, common sense compromises on many issues such as military strength abroad, budget, taxes, immigration etc. Most of all Rand’s speech delivery and ability to answer interviewers in a calm, collected and assured manner. That is one item why Sarah Palin will not be successful on a national stage. She is great otherwise.
Mourdock wasn’t a novice.
He had been elected in a statewide vote to the office of treasurer.
He just wasn’t ready for the kind of assault that the MSM journ-0-lists can do.
Agreed. You can picture Rand as President: Ron not so much. I wonder if this has been the plan all along: Ron runs for POTUS a few times to build a base and get modern libertarian ideas to the masses. Rand rides those coattails from an optometry practice in Kentucky to the Senate as Ron retires. Socialism fails as it always does (and let’s face it no matter who won in 2008 and 2012 we would’ve ended up with more socialism). Now libertarianism is the only antidote to Obama’s socialism. Rand Paul is the favorite candidate in 2016... That’d have been unthinkable back in 2007.
Which makes it even more shocking he could not give a nuanced answer on abortion because if he did he would be a US senator right now.
He’s an idiot.
I dont think it was ever a “plan”. Rand got lucky in that he was in the right place at the right time when Sen. Bunning retired in Kentucky.
It was like an alignment of the stars. One might say it’s God’s plan.
