School Teaching: Americans Don't Have Right To Bear Arms
Fox News ^ | April 9, 2013 | Todd Starnes

The father of a Connecticut child is furious after discovering that his son’s school is teaching students that Americans don’t have a Second Amendment right to bear arms.

“I am appalled,” said Steven Boibeaux, of Bristol. “It sounds to me like they are trying to indoctrinate our kids.”

Boibeaux’s son is an eighth grader at Northeast Middle School. On Monday his social studies teacher gave students a worksheet titled, ‘The Second Amendment Today.’

“The courts have consistently determined that the Second Amendment does not ensure each individual the right to bear arms,” the worksheet states. “The courts have never found a law regulating the private ownership of weapons unconstitutional.

The worksheet, published by Instructional Fair, goes on to say that the Second Amendment is not incorporated against the states.

“This means that the rights of this amendment are not extended to the individual citizens of the states,” the worksheet reads. “So a person has no right to complain about a Second Amendment violation by state laws.”

According to the document, the Second Amendment “only provides the right of a state to keep an armed National Guard.”

Boibeaux said he discovered the worksheet as he was going over his son’s homework assignments.

Tyrant Kim Un Hussein must be very pleased that his efforts to “FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” are progressing so easily.

Public schools (and most universities for that matter) are no longer institutions of learning, they’re places of leftist indoctrination.

Your kid's in 8th grade and you're just finding this out now?
Better late then never, I guess - now pull him out of school and teach him yourself - you could do no worse than the public schools....

According to the document, the Second Amendment “only provides the right of a state to keep an armed National Guard.”

So, by THIS logic, the 1st Amendment allows the state to speak freely about.....the state? Ok, got it.

Besides, We The People ARE THE MILITIA!

HOW I LOATHE THE LEFT

Now, the liberals are saying the Constitution is “living”.

It wasn’t so when it was ratified.

When did an amendment get ratified that changed it from “fixed” to “living”?

Liberals can’t answer that. It’s simply a usurpation of power, and therefore illegitimate and without authority.

“Now, the liberals are saying the Constitution is “living”.”

Typical liberal double-speak: the Constitution is in fact dead, and they’re the ones that killed it.

.... Mat Staver, the founder and chairman of the Liberty Counsel, called the lesson propaganda – that is “absolutely false.”

“In fact, the US Supreme Court has affirmed that the Second Amendment ensures the individual the right to bear arms,” Staver told Fox News. “The progressive interpretation of the Second Amendment is that it doesn’t give you the right to bear arms – that it’s a corporate right of the government – but that has been rejected by the Courts.”

As Walter E Williams stated - a “living” Constitution is NO Constitution.

If it is living, that means there are no fixed rules and all laws are just the whims of those who have the power to enforce them. These laws are without legitimate authority and are no better than thuggery.

I’m sure there are documents or books that have been “transferred without permit” between people,

causing harm, bloodshed, and treason.

“Common Sense” being an example.
Any others come to mind, folks?

Obama has simply declared that the Constitution is what he says it is, so Americans must shut up and submit.

That he is still at large is an attack not just on America, but the rest of the “free” world.

Response from the school:

… Boibeaux said he’s demanding meetings with the principal as well as the board of education.

… Ellen Solek, the superintendent of the school district, told Fox News they have now decided to pull the assignment from the classroom.

“It is no longer an assignment in that particular school,” she said, noting that it was an “administration decision in the best interest of the district.”

Ellen Solek, the superintendent of the school district ... refused to answer any questions about the content of the lesson, how it became a part of the curriculum ...
No answers and no email address for Comrade Solek, but the board of education can be questioned at: BOEAdmin@ci.bristol.ct.us
The school's principal is Comrade Robert Garry and maybe he has some answers: robertgarry@ci.bristol.ct.us -or- (860) 584-7839.

After all, “the government is us”, and there’s no way WE would do anything harmful to US, so we have to trust everything the government does.

This goes along with the shock conditioning kids get whenever the word “gun” is mentioned, alluded to, or hinted at in a pop tart. After a dozen years of this, how do you suppose that person will vote?

The Thoughts of Chairman Mao

It was the "bible" of the SDS and other Leftist groups back in the 60s and 70s.

Our government has replaced the Constitution with this filthy tome as the governing document of the United States.
