When Americans think of Maine, they often think of rocky coasts, lobster and moose. But Maine also has a long and proud tradition of military service, a legacy of world-class manufacturing, and a high percentage of personal firearm ownership.
That's why I invite manufacturers of firearms and related accessoriessome of which are under siege in their home states by politicians pushing anti-gun legislationto come to Maine. As a state that is fiercely protective of our right to bear arms, we will welcome you and your business.

Like that’ll happen. Maine is one election cycle from becoming North Korea. LaPaige won in three way mud fight, he probably won’t be back, when the progressives unite. I think Texas, or Alabama are where I would be looking.
“Maine is one election cycle from becoming North Korea.”
Not to mention that ground freight would have to pass through occupied territory. State upon State.
and during any CW-II, would be behind enemy lines.
yes, one additional fall out from Obama years past is that any “thinking” person today doesn’t believe a damn thing any politician says ever!
I wouldn’t believe a democrat, and few republicans, on ANYTHING!
So, this Maine Governor is most likely sucking canal water if he believes any gun manufacturer is going to spend millions moving to Maine where gun grabbers are strong compared to some place like Texas. Even in Austin, where I live, lines at gun stores are long and “gun control” talk is virtually non-existant.
haha... That’s like asking them to move to San Francisco. There are so many other options that carry no risk... Texas, Indiana just to name a couple. Heck, Indiana hands out 10 year tax abatements almost at will to business willing to move in.
Both of their Senators voted against the filibuster. Maine is not a place I would move a gun business.
There is only one US state that borders exactly one and only one other US state.
.
The business climate in Maine sucks though. And as others have pointed out, the legislature is liberal, and LePage is governor by a quirky three-way race. LePage can invite them, but if they have any sense they'll say "Thanks, but no thanks."
Gun grabbers aren’t strong in Maine. Not yet anyway. I chalk it up to low population density.
Again, this is if you would willingly relocate behind anti-business, anti-freedom enemy lines.
I think about 90% of Maine’s population is libertarian, split 45% libertarian left and 45% libertarian right. (Okay, I made that up, but that’s my impression.) When there were two progressive candidates running LePaige squeaked in. He’s definitely the real deal, but the government employees and the welfare layabouts hate his guts. Surprisingly, so does the Maine media, TV, radio (except the AM talk radio), print, the colleges (think Bowdoin) and all the Thurston Howell types in Castile and Booth Bay Harbor.
LMAO! Yup, get outta the NE. Period.
As Jack Slater would say, “BIG mistake!” Maine has descended into a Liberal sewer wherein any illegal alien can find both refuge and government benefits. Totally non-gun friendly. Maine wants to phase-out gun ownership as older gun owners die.
They can probably get a good deal on land near Collinsport, just North of Frenchman Bay and near the town of Bucksport, on the coast about 50 miles (80 km) southeast of Bangor.
Some of the landed families there built some impressive estates, from French Renaissance châteaus to Jeffersonian neoclassical, and though some are in disrepair, with some remodeling they would make fine executive residences.
LePage can invite them, but if they have any sense they’ll say “Thanks, but no thanks.”
I kind of wondered about that. Given the senators, Snowe and Collins(?), Maine didn’t sound all that conservative.
But this didn’t seem to have been posted, so...A chance for me to learn stuff.
Maine isn’t that far away from becoming another NY, IL, MD, NJ, CT, CO etc. The lib-dem trash have polluted so many once-wonderful states, it’s pathetic. We’ll probably never get them back. Unless... no, I won’t say it.
I think the firearms manufacturers should move offshore completely. Nowhere in the US or North America is safe from the clutches of the socialists.
The new Maine governor continues to surprise.
