Her husband is Prof. Stephen Cohen, formerly of Princeton, now of NYU, a Soviet specialist who leans Left. Often the go-toman on the Soviet Union/Russia issue by talk show host John Batchellor, who has a few lefties in his stable. I don’t think that Batchellor knows who some of his guests really are, which is his weak point.
Katrina is a hardcore leftist, the protege’ of Victor Navasky (”Naming Names”, a book defending the Communists in Hollywood). Navasky was also the protege’ of “The Nation” magazine publisher Carey McWilliams, a longtime Communist Party USA organizer.
Once you understand the historical links, a lot of what is being said and done today make more sense.
The first thing that KVH does when she wakes up every morning is to suck a lemon. There is no other way to have such a biter, prune face.
