Feinstein: ‘Show Some Guts!’ (w/video)
National Review ^ | April 17, 2013 5:51 PM | Eliana Johnson

Posted on 04/17/2013 5:01:13 PM PDT by Red Steel

As the Senate debated the merits of an assault-weapons ban, an emotional Dianne Feinstein urged her colleagues to “show some guts” and vote in favor of the measure.

“I am really chagrined and concerned. If anybody cares, vote at least to prospectively ban the manufacture, the sale, the importation of military-style assault weapons,” she said in remarks on the Senate floor.

Feinstein is the author of the assault-weapons ban, which was defeated earlier today by a margin of 60 to 40. The compromise on background checks introduced by GOP senator Pat Toomey and Democratic senator Joe Manchin was also defeated, 54–46.

I can’t believe she said that after what just happened in Boston. How insensitive she is to those victims of an horrific attack, who got their guts blown all over the street, to use that term in such a derogatory fashion.

” ban the manufacture, the sale, the importation of military-style assault weapons.

You don’t have a clue as to what those weapons are. You are clueless.

And a few of them voted to defeat it. I’m not saying I trust them. I don’t. I’m not saying I’m going to vote for them. I won’t. The ones who voted to defeat this...I will give them a little (just a little) credit for doing the right thing, though, regardless of their reason.

And you know it has to be a bitter pill for Feinstein to know that more than a dozen of her fellow Dems helped defeat that abomination she was proposing. What better way to rub a little salt in the wound than to acknowledge that?

A popular talk show host, once remarked that Feinstien would be more in her element as a brassiere saleslady in a department store. I think that Savage was correct. Whatever is she doing in the senate?

She comes across as an ignorant loud mouth and bully, does she not?

I believe a Republican did vote for it. I didn’t check the list, but as a long suffering conservative Republican in the sorry state of Illinois, a vote by our “fiscally conservative” RINO Mark Kirk went the way of the gun grabbers. Apparently a close call with his mortality hasn’t gotten him to see things right yet. Combine this “moderate” with Dick Durbin and you know the Land of Lincoln long ago went by the wayside.
