Look, it’s more of a “race” thing than a “where the border is placed” thing. Arabs (Who also don’t have a country named “Arabia.” (Saudi doesn’t count, it’s a mere kingdom, Arabia is much larger)) consider themselves something quite apart from “Persians.” And *both* live in Iran.
So it matters.
arab means speaks arab.
I guess it’s like “African Americans.” They like the distinction. But it really is phony.
Again, it would be like me going around and telling everyone I’m Prussian...because Germany and Poland were once both Prussia.
BTW, when did Persia cease to exist as a country? Anyone know?
