A high-ranking federal law enforcement official confirmed a photo of what is believed to be the second suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings.
The official told FOX 25 the man in the white hat will be identified as suspect #2 at a 5 p.m. press conference Thursday.
The picture also shows what appears to be a backpack on the ground matching the description of the bag used in the bombings.
The official tells FOX 25 another image of a first suspect will also be released at the conference.
Anyone with information on the marathon bombing suspect is asked to call 1-800-CALL-FBI (225-5324) and choose prompt 3. Tips can also be e-mailed to boston@ic.fbi.gov.

People asked why the bombs went off later in the race, long after the winners crossed the line. The first thing that I thought was that marathon winners are often foreigners, sometimes Muslim. The people who come in later are more likely to be Americans.
Nutty? Perhaps, but I wear my foil hat proudly. ;-)

This is not the first time that a male wearing a white cap, reversed, has been put forward as a suspect - this has been on an earlier Freeper thread, maybe Wednesday, and with different (and clearer) pictures - can anyone remember which thread?

The “tufty” beard on the one made me think an occupy punk, but the more I look at that profile the more I think ME.

Maybe that not a beard, just a shadow. If nobody comes forward to ID them, they’re probably foreigners I think.
I just don't see the Boston Marathon crowd as being a logical target for Occupy types. Of course anything is possible in the absence of definite information.
Mass civilian casualties for the sake of merely inflicting casualties is more of a jihadi thing.
Among the many possibilities, I would look at the Canada angle. Possibly smuggled over the border and then back. The should coordinate with Canadian databases, especially student IDs.
