I would think that a good K9 officer could have found him within an hour. Why did it take so long?

That is a very good question. Really, if the homeowner hadn't searched his own backyard, the guy might not have been located. Apparently the LEOs didn't do even a cursory walk through search of the area. Yet they had nearly unlimited resources present, and certainly could have walked through Franklin street yards. A quick look at Google or Bing aerial data indicates that the area where terrorist #2 was found was close to the firefight, accessible by someone on foot, and a good hiding area.

Also, if he was really bleeding as much as has been reported, then it is surprising the LEO guys couldn't track him, particularly with canine teams.

Amid all the congratulations and back patting somebody should stand up and say that the terrorist was really captured because a civilian went out and searched his own yard. A great example of how security comes more from alert and prepared civilians than it ever does from the government.

Check this.

Why did they note immediately release the videos two days before they killed and wounded others? They could have been ID'd quickly.

In fact, they had great near perfect frontal images of these two foreigners, yet declined to even release them at their news conference, days after the event, where they only released questionable, marginal images of the suspects.

Wrap your head around that.

Why didn't they use a drone?

Well there might have been a few hundred more officers to search had O’commie not siphoned off a bunch of security for his photo op and crisis mongering and for all the cops pulled off duty every time the mayor or governor showed up.

Let the LEOs do their job and the accolade seeking politicians can just make a TV appearance without all the added security.

Because he hid in a boat one block outside the containment zone. All searching was in the zone a block away . . .
