Larri, Larri!
The best description I’ve read all week. THANK YOU for this great commentary.
FOX - Wallace asks - Charles Ramsey, Philadelphia commissioner, whether locking down the whole city was the right move. Ramsey says he’s not sure they would have done it, but it was BRILLIANT! They must have known something more than the public, to know that’s what they needed to do to keep the city safe.
Asks whether Philadelphia needs more cameras. Why, yes, it would be nice to have the 3,000 cameras, “Ring of Steel”, that NYC has. Gives you a record that you wouldn’t have had. (Well so would having everyone wear an electronic chip that records their every movement....maybe we should think about that)
Counterterrorism specialist, Phil Mudd - thinks there will be copycat threats. He thinks it looks more like Columbine than terrorism. He would charge the suspect with murder, not terror. The Islamic ideology may have just been the excuse/reason to commit murder. But, murder was their intent.
I’m so sorry Fishtalk.
Praying for you today.
polly
Give this fool Mudd a few more soundbites and he’ll have the whole deal talked down to a Jaywalking beef.

Seriously, WHO GETS ARROGANT MORONS LIKE THIS TO PARADE CRAP AROUND ON THESE SHOWS ALL THESE YEARS?????
FOX Panel
Gen. Hayden - just don’t know whether this signifies a new front in the WOT (Russian/Chechen).
Juan - Should be treated as a citizen, not an enemy combatant. Not constitutional. This impacts OUR rights, treating him like this.
Bill Krystol - Enemy combatant.
Jane Harmon - Citizen/Federal Court
Is anyone talking about the others arrested or the FBI’s hunt for a sleeper cell? Anybody except UK papers?
Yeah....I wondered about that....
all the pics of serious looking guys with phone wires in their ears were all looking around and up....none of them seemed to be looking down on the ground for backpacks and packages.
Re. Mudd - I don’t know. We’ll see where the investigation leads.
Gen Hayden fears this incident will be the new normal - we’ll have to live with this risk.
"We" as in city-sheeple.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I don’t often come to this thread any more (usually no internet on weekends), but am thankful today so that I might send my condolences. I’ve followed your stories of skirmishes with the state Republican establishment but had no idea your husband was ill. Again, my sincerest sympathy on your loss.
FOX, Wallace again asks the panel, how many people in Boston wish they had some of the weapons intended to be banned.
Bill Kristol - I don’t know.
Jane Harmon - this bill was only about background checks, not what guns people could have. Rand Paul’s efforts to put on commercials against Susan Collins - she hopes it fails. Collins had the courage to vote the way she did.
Juan - 55 senators supported this legislatin. repeats the “FACT” that 90 % of the public supported this bill.
Krystol - Parents of Newtown never made a public policy debate about the Manchin/Toomey amendment/bill.
Exactly!
Radditz and all these a...H...s.
NO ONE is talking about RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORISTS! Not one word about a WAR ON TERROR!
“OH, WOE..we just can’t prevent this....”
Its awful to watch ..”I trust our government..”
I will now go to church just to calm down.
“We” as in folks who visit the city for big events......that includes us country bumpkins as well.
Gen Hayden on FOX on immigration - effusively talks about the wonders of immigration, blah, blah, blah.
Oh yeah, I finished my novel yesterday. It is called Texas 2022, which is after Texas succeeds from the union. Kind of John Galt meets Star Wars.
After I get it edited I will let you guys read it and see what you think.
Even worse, it is the control 51% of the population (females) so when they grow weary of their no longer youthful appearance, they can be stoned to death. Now they can move on to the next 9 year old girl.
Pat, I am so sorry for your loss of Billy. I cannot imagine losing your husband. A big, big hug to you.
Just got back from mass. We said a prayer for Billy and lit a candle.
