Wouldn’t want members of service families being proud of.....service members.

...a teacher saw Taylor wearing it and told her to go to the office... Let's have that teacher's name and contact info. They need a lesson in the price of freedom. Maybe they can lose a little of theirs, so that they appreciate it more.

A brouhaha over a support our troops T-shirt at a military school, on a military base!?
Doesn’t anybody out there have a lick of sense anymore!?

This nonsense has to stop. Parents need to take the schools back no matter where they are located, every day it just gets more ridiculous.

I'm betting that Abdul will wear a Support our Allah shirt or the like. That will cause a quick end to dress down day where every day is uniform day.

He/she also needs a lesson in common sense. Only an idiot would have considered this shirt inappropriate.

A real head-slapper. I guess it’s too much to ask that teachers and administrators have common sense.

I used to regularly invite military recruiters into my classroom. I could see the libs gagging and enjoyed every minute of it.
I'm sure now they will eventually try to ban the Marines because their rank insignia shows two crossed rifles. They can also ban the Army because a CIB depicts a musket. Zero tolerance!!

Call me when they change superintendant.
Fire the b*stard/b*tch.

I was thinking the same thing. God bless out troops and support their families!

I really think mom is overreacting here. Usually, in these cases, it is the school personnel acting leftist, but it appears here that the school was enforcing an existing policy.
The students are expected to wear shirts with collars, and this particular shirt did not have a collar. I doubt the school was acting against support of the troops.

Commander of Fort Campbell needs to have the DoD School system at least fire the so-called teacher who started this.

This was, apparently, a dress-down day:
“Student Cejai Taylor told Nashville Fox affiliate WZTV she wore the T-shirt right after her dad, Sgt. James Taylor, was sent on his sixth deployment overseas. Mahaffey requires all students to wear collared shirts, but has dress-down days once a month where they can wear jeans and school-approved shirts. The Support Our Troops shirt was not approved, and a teacher saw Taylor wearing it and told her to go to the office.”

Sew a collar on the shirt and send her back with it. Then we’ll see what the real problem is.

Yipes! I was way off the mark here. Sorry. Skimmed a bit too much, apparently.
I take back what I said. Sounds like the staff deserves all of the criticism voiced here.
