The Supreme Court on Monday rebuffed the state of Alabama, and gave a win to the Obama administration, by declining to review a lower court ruling that had blocked a controversial part of the state's tough immigration law.
Alabama had asked the high court to review an appeals court decision to stop enforcement of the 'harboring' provision that made it illegal to harbor or transport anyone in the state who had entered the country illegally.
The appeals court had acted in 2012 at the Obama administration's request. The White House had said that Alabama's law was trumped by federal immigration law.
The Alabama law, enacted in 2011, is considered one of the toughest state immigration statutes in the nation. The law also made it illegal to encourage people to either enter or stay in the country in violation of federal immigration laws.

What does it matter who appoints whom. They all lose their mind once they start drinking the water in DC.

So, is it ok for people to harbor terrorist like the Boston brudahs? What is the difference (except 20 million votes)? They will go house to house to find two mutts but not 30 million illegal invaders, gee that should seem easier to find them you’d think.
US Congress needs need to first enforce the borders.
We should throw billons on developing a Canal system between Mexico and US. Have desalination plants in the US and water the South West.
So the SCOTUS approves of breaking the law. Harboring a fugitive is OK to them, so is transporting futitives. We have no law in this country anymore when the supreme court of the land encourages lawbreaking.
perhaps if there is a major flaw in the constitution, it’s the fact removal processes for justices and congressmen may not have been given enough ink, and perhaps made a bit easier to do by the common man.
i truly’believe they structured things the way they did to combat the natural inclinations of man and government over time. they couldn’t predict the future however, and probably most didn’t think just how low the people of the country would sink, and how massive the federal govt would be allowed to grow, changing position power with the states - when the founders were in charge.
I’d go for that, make another Imperial Valley on the Az/NM border.

they look at it like its a state trying to do the job of the fedgov. a/staes/feds power’issue. that’s what they are looking at it as. and they are sending a message’that federalism is their worldview and states can’t do fedgov’s’job if fedgov won’t and you can’t have a state law and do the job at the state level if fedgov supposedly has responsibility for an issue. whether they are enforcing said issue, or not.
it’s states rights/federalism thing here, not simply immigration. it’s larger than just imigration.

What will happen? Just look around; it’s happening already. Various states are passing nullification bills stating that any federal usurpations of authority beyond that given in the Constitution are null and void and will not only be ignored but will be actively resisted. Yes, many of these bills are 2nd Amendment-specific, but not all, and that won’t continue to be the case. The federal government will collapse, but some states will survive just fine. And some will collapse right along with the feds. And you already know how to predict which are which, too.
As for me here in MD (definitely going down, hard and fast), if the collapse holds off for a few years until I can retire the wife and I are looking at Tennessee as a haven. If not, we may be there sooner.
Oh, I didn’t mention the various intrastate secessions you’ll see, where (off the of of my head) central PA and upstate NY may realize that they have much more in common with each other than either has with NYC, Philly, Pittsburgh, and Buffalo. The realignments won’t necessarily be official, but they’ll be real, as survivable areas perform triage on the walking dead leftist enclaves.

Senator Ted Cruz must know this, and is drinking bottled water imported from his home state of Texas. He's one of the few that I feel I can trust in DC.
